Fred was great during impeachment.

Seems to be a liberal in the program, but his real political leanings remain a mystery.

More like a liberal dimwit if you ask me

Waterston appeared on "The Situation Room" as an advocate for Unity '08, a movement trying to end polarization in politics.

Of Unity '08, Waterston said, "And our belief is if an independent or a bipartisan executive were in place. That it would make a huge difference to all the politics in Washington and might make possible to get back to the way things used to be in the old days."

Yep the good old days....when Republicans where shut out of meetings and lawmaking. When liberals ruled the day, supported communists, were communists and raised taxes. Yeah Sam, just ignore the Democraps treason, slander, lies and support of terrorism! Yep Sam, just like the good old days!

It would be nice but Fred doesn’t like to campaign and he just signed with ABC network.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

WRONG! Fred doesn’t like TRADITIONAL campaigning. When he quit doing what other told him and did it HIS way, he turned his losing campaign around in THREE months to win Tennessee with over 60% of the votes, and the highest total number of votes in Tennessee history.

Isn't Michael Moriarty the DA before him in L&O, a conservative.

I think I recall him having a run in with Clinton.

That’s just what the Fox all-stars said. That Fred doesn’t like to campaign. Not what I said. They also said he signed with ABC and wondered if it means he won’t run.

Well, I was starting to panic, but I think maybe Fred is being smart as a fox again.

“Congress reacted quickly by creating four exemptions to the equal opportunity law. Stations who gave time to candidates on regularly scheduled newscasts, news interviews shows, documentaries (assuming the candidate wasn’t the primary focus of the documentary), or on-the-spot news events would not have to offer equal time to other candidates for that office.”

I would imagine that Fred could be signing up for one of these. What do you think?

"He's a good man, a very nice man, and he's been very, very straightforward with me all the time," Waterston said of the former Republican senator.

He’ll have a new anus when the folks here get through with him.

The only ones I've seen attacking Fred are the Rudy boosters, and most of the ones doing the attacking ain't around any longer.

I admire Waterston as an actor. He's brilliant.

That being said, I understand he's something of a liberal (what with the narration of ads for The Nation), so these are very kind words.

Sounds like Waterston is that rare Hollywood lib who has some class.

Yes.

Waterston's always been a class act as far as I can tell. I suspect he has some significant disagreements with Fred, but still he's a gentlemen in this interview.

Whoops. “Gentlemen” should be “gentleman.” Waterston is just the one guy.

...his real political leanings remain a mystery.

That's his voice on the rare cable ads for The Nation magazine.

Oh, and he peddles that insurance that protects the elderly from robots, who eat medicine for fuel.

Don’t know if you saw it, but his producer Dick(?) Wolf, and independent who voted for Clinton, wants him to run, too.

Yes, but they also told us that Fred Thompson was considering taking a job on ABC radio doing political analysis, which would stop any campaign for office.

He does have a gig here . . . but I think it's open-ended.

At least I would hope his experience filming “The Killing Fields” would make him aware of the evils of Communism.

They may very well gotten it wrong too.
