How about Lover’s Lane, a major street in Visalia, Calif., or Memory Lane in Santa Ana, Calif.?
To: RockinRight
Actually, Chris Rock has a bit about this.
I was looking for some video of that but couldn't find it.

And towns:
I intentionally avoided even looking at homes in Alpharetta (Georgia) - it sounds too much like what an illiterate would name her first female child...
Or Krum (Texas), which is no better than you’d think.

A lot of merchants in the Chinatown area of Los Angeles were upset when Sunset Blvd., which has a prestigeous name, became Avenida Cesar Chavez.

LOL - you must have a pretty good telephoto lens on your camera or you have relatives in the Olney area.
I did a lot of surveying for the Olney Oaks subdivision between where Morningwood crosses the gas lines all the way to the power lines.
In Olney Oaks there is a large two-story 1928 Sears-Roebuck catalog house that was owned by the Ickes during WWII. Rumor has it that a lot of presidents went there until Camp David was built.
And there are a lot of idiotic names in Montgomery County. But my favorites are names of our kids and grandkids. I always wonder if the signs would be missed if they disappear.

I don’t think that has happened in Chapel Hill, NC yet (we just renamed our Airport Road after MLK2).

An old Simpsons episode:
Chalmers: Laugh it up, you punks, ‘cause you and Jan Murray
here just cost our town the Olympics.
Bart: Hey, Chalmers, where are you from?
Chalmers: Well, I was born in Queens, went to Ball state, then
made the move to Intercourse, Pennsylvania. Uh, why
do you ask?
[Bart is about to say something when Skinner Quickly
puts his hand over his mouth]
Skinner: Uh, don’t worry, sir. I’ll teach these children
some respect for their town. I’m assigning each of
you 20 hours of Community Service.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to my vacation at lake Titicaca. [to Bart] Let’s see you make a joke out of that, Mr. Smart guy.

About 5 miles from my house is “Bugger Hollow Road” No matter which connotation you pick, pardon the pun, it isn’t pleasant.

There is a Purgatory Canyon in Massachusetts. Kinda like Hell’s Canyon, but with a milder climate and not nearly as big.
