A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 200,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay.

Hope you are feeling better soon!
I did some trimming and pruning yesterday and am
mostly staying off the computer to give my back a rest..
It was wonderful to get some yardwork done but
I am staying away from saws, trimmers amd ladders today.

Warm Fuzzy Wednesday Poetry
First Thoughts
My World is just full of wondrous scents and surprising sounds
That swirl and echo all around in ways mysterious and profound
Filling my head with things that Mother says are important to remember
Even though my claws are out, I maintain an even temper
As I detect the scent of Our Pretty One, with whom I've not properly met
Then feel a pressure slide under my fur while Mother doesn't fret
I'd like to know more about what's going on, but, my eyes haven't opened yet!
Whatever is caressing me is just the right size
I sense Mother watching, both cautious and wise
As soft and lovely sounds waft around my ears
Then something narrow sweeps over my fur allaying all my fears
It only lasts for a moment or so as I am returned to Mother and then I know
That my World will be one of pampered splendor that is free of strife
Once my eyes finally open and I can uncover the mysteries of my life!

It’s a warm and fuzzy Wednesday every day now that I’ve got my kitten, Coffee, back home from the vet. She’s recovering very well, after two surgeries and 3 weeks in the clinic.

Great news, your cat is recovering. My dog has some issues health wise but last blood work is better. She is too young for these troubles. It's so difficult and scary to see our pets, we love so much, not well.
