The assignment? Come up with the best games in each of the 14 weeks of the upcoming college football season. The usual suspects are there: Red River Shootout, the game formerly known as the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, Bowden Bowl and Third Saturday in October. If the 21 matchups aren't enough, we threw in a delicious appetizer: a potential upset for every week in the season.
Week 1 Sept. 1: Tennessee at California (8 p.m. ET, ABC) It has to be more competitive than last season's matchup at Neyland Stadium, which the Volunteers won 35-18. Upset alert: Oklahoma State over Georgia (6:45 p.m., ESPN2)
Week 2 Sept. 3: Florida State at Clemson (8 p.m., ESPN) Tigers coach Tommy Bowden has beaten Daddy (Florida State's Bobby Bowden) in each of the last two "Bowden Bowls" and three of four overall. A key ACC contest under the lights on Labor Day night, followed by a few beverages at The Esso Club.

I've wondered the same thing.
I hate them both. Go Raiders!
Thanks, Dr. Phil.
It’s nice to see a fellow MWC fan here. I think this make 3 of us. If I’m not mistaken GOPRaider is a Utah fan. I’m a die hard New Mexico Lobo fan. Good luck to the Frogs this season. I’m looking forward to watching them take Texas to the woodshed!
No, that would be Dr. Carl
More wisdom??...
"Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consiousness."
Go Dawgs!!!
Whoever decides to run the college football ping, thank you in advance!
Good point - it is certainly true with Alabama and Auburn as well. I'm a Georgia Tech grad but have liked Alabama since my childhood (Bear Bryant), but I have a hard with the fans.
From my experience, Texas A&M fans are the worst at being obsessed with their rival. Auburn would be second, followed closely behind by Alabama.
Thankfully with Saban, Alabama will soon have bigger fish to fry than Auburn so that obsession should calm down a bit.
I will say that UGA fans are pretty bad as well when it comes to Georgia Tech. It seems odd, as UF is really their rival as Tech is not football factory. UGA could have a terrible year, but if they beat GT then they act like they are world beaters. At least Tennessee fans don't celebrate beating Vandy.
Thanks, Raider!
GO ‘NOLES!
Hullabaloo, Caneck, Caneck
Hullabaloo, Caneck, Caneck

Short! A!
Varsity's horns are sawed off
Varsity's horns are sawed off
Varsity's horns are sawed off
Short! A!
That and the lyrics to Texas Fight contain the words “and it’s goodbye to A&M”. Always seemed odd to me to have a school’s fight song openly deride their rival like that
That's right. (in fact the pic of yours truly on my profile page was taken before a Ute game back in '05, the happiest a person can look on 3 hours sleep). :)
It took me a moment, but I like your tag.
WVU is going to have one loaded backfield, that’s for sure.
“You guys really need to find something positive to feed on”
Farmers don’t have a lot going for them in boring ol’ CS.
My Father graduated from A&M back in the 60’s. after he and my Mother divorced. Didn’t see a lot of him until recently.
Now everytime A&M beats UT (get it right Ag) at any sport, he turns into a complete, childish Asshole. At Christmas this last year, one of the little girls in the family recieved a pink Longhorn shirt as a present. He jumps up off the couch and dances around the room saying, “Pink, Pink....the perfect color for them Teasippers” Needless to say, I was embarassed for the little girl and everyone else in the room. Lost a lot of respect for my Dad.
Rivalry is one thing, Bad Sportsmanship is something I won’t practice nor tolerate.
Hookum Horns!
Almost seems as if Coach could pick his plays by throwing darts!

Week 11
Nov. 8: Louisville at West Virginia (7:30 p.m., ESPN)
The Big East game of the year moves to one of my favorite college towns: Morgantown, W.Va. Brian Brohm vs. Pat White. Steve Slaton vs. the entire Louisville defense.
Did you see the “Upset Alert” for week #9?
