Bill O'Reilly: "FreeRepublic Needs A Full Time Monitor. It Has None."
Fox News/Bill O'Reilly Show

Posted on 08/03/2007 4:04:35 AM PDT by lowbridge

Edited on 08/03/2007 4:16:59 PM PDT by Admin Moderator. [history]

This morning only a couple of minutes before 5am, I was surfing around when I came upon Fox News. Bill O'Reilly was closing out his show with him reading off a few viewers emails and him giving a small response to each one. One of them defended FreeRepublic, saying that doing a search, Daily Kos had thousands of certain cuss words, and FR had none. O'Reilly's response to that was: "FreeRepublic Needs A Monitor. It Has None." (And then he moved on to another email)

"..Alan Novak, Wichita, KS: "Comparing the Free Republic to the Daily Kos, I searched the F-word. Daily Kos, almost seven thousand mentions. Free Republic, none.""

Here is a clip of Bill O'Reilly saying "I hate Blacks" on Television.

O'Reilly needs a monitor.

Isn’t moderator another word for censor?

America

Freedom of speech?

O’Reilly —— thin skin.

It could be worse. This idiot O’Reilly could still be teaching our kids.

Roger Ailes should have fired O’Reilly a couple of years ago when he was caught screwing around with the help.

Uh oh... sounds like Bill O'Reilly needs a monitor. He has none.

It may be true that the leftist sites had a field day with O’Reilly’s sexual harassment troubles, but at the end of the day, who was to blame for that?

It was Bill O’Reilly himself who brought that scandal down around his head, and nobody else. The court papers I referenced over at The Smoking Gun are accurate and valid, and they amply demonstrate the kind of person Bill O’Reilly is, and I have no problem with anybody talking about that, be they left, right or in the middle. We are all responsible for our actions and if O’Reilly doesn’t like it, he should have considered that before he put himself in the position where his personal depravities were put on public display by the target of his sexual harassment.

Bill O’Reilly is going to end up meeting the same fate as Dan Rather, and if anyone is going to make it happen, it will be countless Freepers who are even now ripping the fake veneer off that arrogant ba$tard and exposing the rotten wood beneath for all the world to see.

As JimRob said last night, ‘fire at will, fire for effect!’

The chaos of unbridled Free Speech throws control freaks into a panic.

Sowell, Perkins, Elder, Williams, McWhorter, Blackwell and Cain ... Every single one of them has more wisdom and more integrity than Bill O’Reilly.

My nomination for understatement of the day!

Wrong. The Fairness Doctrine as written says that if a station provides X minutes of time for one side of a controversial topic, then it has to provide equal time for opposing viewpoints.

In practice, stations would simply not provide time for either side, so as to avoid the paperwork workload and the fear of federal sanctions for not getting it right.

Is has nothing to do with offensive speech, because profanity and offensive speech are dealt with by other regulations.

BORing considers himself the yardstick by which all others are to be measured. He believes his own propaganda just like the japs did in WW2.

And he certainly thinks for himself - of himself - by himself and makes every effort not to be called a republican, a conservative etc. It’s one thing to have common sense, another to prostitute it to the highest bidder.

I think this whole think is projection.

Bill O’Reilly needs a Monitor Lizard. He has none.

Is there an exotic pet dealer among the FReepers?

Salamander, would you check among your relatives for volunteers?

No intent to high-jack, but this is a legitimate and serious concern to me.

It's too late, O'Reilly has notified them of your presence here and they're already on to you. You'd best start updating your resume...

I’m not sure, but you may want to ask bentfeather, now Soaring Feather. Copy bentfeather and paste it into the “Search” and “By Poster” and you will come up with Soaring Feather

I think that before jumping all over Bill we should determine why he thinks this site needs a monitor.

“I think that before jumping all over Bill we should determine why he thinks this site needs a monitor.”

Is that a joke? LOL

Bill thinks all the internet should be monitored and policed with NEW laws.
