when seconds count, the police are only minutes away!

I love that quote. Who should I attribute it to?

Don’t know when I first heard/saw that. I believe it was here, though......

Is that yours or is it a known quote? It is a great statement. That should be someone’s tagline.

Can’t get much uglier than that. Looks like he was hit by an ugly stick when he was born.

My wording was off...

What I meant to say was:

so I do think the use of force was NOTexcessive but RATHER defensive given the fact that the pervert had strangled the rape victim...

I left out a NOT in a critical place, and replacing PROBABLY with RATHER changes the meaning.

The guy was a big guy, and he had strangled the woman. There were only three young men to subdue him, so I do NOT think the force was excessive.

I did make comments about this guy weighing 300 pounds or 400 pounds in other replies in this thread. So three average guys trying to subdue someone that big, I really do not think the force was excessive.

The news article puts that the victim was strangled at the end of the article. So this was a very vicious, big guy, and I meant to say that the use of force was not excessive but defensive in nature given how big he was.

The other two helping out were women -- who were 20 year old. And they may have been petite women, but willing to help.

The article claims 5 people subdued the guy -- but it was three 20 year old guys and two 20 year old women...

“Kids”? There weren’t any kids in this story.

Glad that these folks got involved! Hope they get rewarded in this life, because God will surely do so in the next!

That's a picture of an 11 year-old boy who shot the largest boar on record. Here is the link to the whole story.

“You don’t know whether a suspect is armed or what their mind frame is,”

Yea, just let 'em rape the B**ch.

Or you could be armed yourself, just in case. As far as their frame of mind, you'd already know it was bad and violent.

Unless a Dunkin Donuts is being robbed.

Sorry. Forgot a NOT in my statement.

In the posts on this article, I highlighted how big that guy appears to be, and that it was only three men that subdued him.

The article says 5 people subdued the perp, but two of them were women.

Also, the article, at the very end, mentions the woman victim had been strangled.

So I did mean to say that the use of force was NOT excessive, but rather defensive in nature.

In other words, the three men had to be very aggressive to avoid being injured themselves.

How would three average sized guys take down a 400 pound man? With aggressive action, which they did use, and rightly use it...

Sorry for losing the NOT in a critical spot...

“”The availability of guns are really, completely out of hand here in the city of Philadelphia,” Johnson said.”

No comment on the availability of criminals however. I heard this on the radio. Already they are blaming guns and oh, by the way, there was nary a description (on the radio) of the shooter.

By the way I agree with your tag line 100%.

The police officer has now died. They are now looking for a murderer. But they do have a description now (and video at the link)

The suspect is described as a heavy-set African American male in his 20s, approximately 5'11"- 6' tall, wearing a dark hoodie, tan khaki pants, black and white striped tan boots and has a tattoo that police believe to be a spider on his left hand. Commissioner Johnson said the suspect has a noticeable limp.
