Foxy Katon Kicks Duncan Hunter Out of Debate
Kaolin Kronicle ^ | 1-9-08

Fox News (in collusion with the SC GOP) has removed Congressman Duncan Hunter from the GOP debate lineup in Myrtle Beach on Thursday night. Just like Fox did in New Hampshire, they are banning Republican candidates who are on the ballot in South Carolina from the debate. It appears that Fox News has decided that they, not the voters, will choose the Republican nominee.

I'm a bit surprised they didn't find a way to exclude Thompson.

Pssh. They've already shot Fred down in the media. I heard the dorks on FOX this morning during their little round table discussion and Mort Kondrake said Fred "is dead." They went on and discussed how presidential and unflappable Obama is.

Screw FOX and the rest of them too.

Hunters at 1% in the polls. Thats why he’s not being given a slot.

My screen name is polling better. Sorry its not a conspiracy by Fox News, its noting the obvious.

Great guy, great ideas, I like most every position he’s offered. But he isn’t gaining support after a half dozen debates where he had every opportunity to gain support.

Don’t shoot the messenger here, it doesn’t give me any pleasure noting this.

It does not make sense. If they want to exclude people why not use delegate counts and start with anyone who does not have at least 1 delegate does not compete in this debate. Next debate nobody that does not have 5 delegates. Next debate nobody without 10 delegates and go that route. That too me is the fairest way IMHO.

Shame on the Fox News Channel.

BTW, anyone from Fox News reading this:

You must cover the most conservative candidates, they happen to be excellent choices.

And your not covering what this government is doing to legal Americans by not stopping illegal immigration!

Thats why I’ve turned you off since the start of amnesty in the senate this summer.

How many delegates does Rudy have at this point? If he doesn’t have more than Hunter or Paul his RINO a_s needs to be thrown off the debate stage as well.......

That is the way it should be. Let the people and not FOX decide who is in the debate.

Another reason not to turn on the TV. Their popularity has gone to their heads,
and slowly they're conforming to the left of center with all the others Rats.

Thanks for your great posts,Diogenesis.

Do you remember one of the first debates many months ago when Duncan Hunter referred to some of his fellow candidates as , “THE KENNEDY WING OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY”?

THAT is why Hunter is out of the media coverage and the debates. He told the truth. CAN’T have that! Not to mention stopping any discussion of China and immigration.

McCain, Huckabee, Rudy....look who they’re giving us...LOOK who the media and globalist pundits are pushing!

I think we should start calling it exactly what it is, don’t you? Hunter, as usual, called it first and called it right.

“THE KENNEDY WING OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY”

California’s Arnold is certainly a perfect example.

Be sure to read what people say in the comment section when they’re allowed to hear Duncan Hunter.

” MSM tried shoving Rudi down our throats back when this pathetic “process” got started.

That didn’t work, so now they’re trying to see if McRomnabee will fit.

I’m a bit surprised they didn’t find a way to exclude Thompson.”

So correct. I suppose it would have been a little to obvious if they’d taken out Thompson and Hunter at the same time.

Oh please, people. I love Huner. I initially supported him. I sent him money. He took his shot and it’s over. The reason Real Clear Politics and their underlying polls don’t include him is that his support is statistically insignificant.

I would have been outraged if he had been excluded from early debates. But it’s not early! We are mid-primary season now, and it is emmently reasonable to trim the rosters down. It’s needed, and it’s good for the Republicans. The Donks are down to three. We still have four or five.

The debates with 9 people lined up are often boring, don’t clarify issues and a waste of time. Admit it: aren’t you getting sick of hearing Ron Paul? Weren’t you tired of listening to Tom Tancredo, no matter how correct he was on Immigration? I sure was.

I can’t believe all the whining here! Fox is a private entity that tries hard to do a fair job of reporting the news. To continue to treat candidates polling at under 2% with no realistic hope of winning as “as legitimate” as the top candidates is BOGUS AND MISLEADING in itself.

I am PLEASED to see the BACK MARKERS released from the debates.

They've been trying to stuff Rudy down our throats for a long time. Hopefully they won't succeed.

Hunter absolutely did not have "every opportunity to gain support." The media made sure of that. He was not even visible on camera most of the time, let along allowed to say much. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, achieved by a vicious-circle process. Hunter was polling weakly nationally (initial polls being all about name recognition), so they gave him no real exposure in debates. That kept him from acquiring more attention, so he remained unknown, and they then used that to exclude him entirely. Very slick.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating: If all the people who think Hunter is a "great guy with great ideas" had actually put their money and time where their mouth is, he would have "gained support." Badeye, you show up again and again to say how "reluctant" you allegedly are at Hunter's "poor showing." Why not tell us just who you do support, why you do, and what you are doing to help any candidate?
