Growing doubts weaken Obama, polls show
White, independent voters hedge

Growing doubts among white working-class and independent voters blunted the momentum of Sen. Barack Obama's presidential run in recent days, leaving him in a tight contest with Republican candidate Sen. John McCain, pollsters say.
"His bubble hasn't burst, but it's leaking a little bit," said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. "It is not massive. It is incremental, but we've seen it across the board in all of these states, that [Mr. McCain] is doing better among white voters, especially white voters without college educations."
Mr. Obama, Illinois Democrat, led by double digits earlier this summer but now barely edges out the Arizona Republican in most national polls. A Gallup daily tracking poll released Tuesday showed Mr. Obama with a four-point advantage but, for the first time since June, losing the battle for independents 43 percent to 40 percent.

It's not really growing doubts that are Obama's problem, but a growing realization that he is little more than a nitwit wearing a suit that can read a halfway decent prepared speech but who has so little on the ball that his answer to a question he has no prepared answer for is, "Um,...ah,...ah,...ah,...um,...uh,...um,...ah,...ah,...ah...well,...um,..."

Well gee what did they do poll outside of the cities finally? Or was it the major gaff yesterday about saying he voted against Bush’s energy plan and McCain voted for it when in fact that was a major lie that he hasn’t yet apologized for? Or perhps the 50 or so before this one that makes him look shifty and like every other politician before him who came out of the dirty Chicago political machine?

“but we’ve seen it across the board in all of these states, that [Mr. McCain] is doing better among white voters, especially white voters without college educations.”
Obviously college is overrated except as an indoctrination tool of the left.

Why, thank you! I have stated this here and everywhere since Kerry was running and we dealt with the text-book examples of narcissism and egomania with him and the Clintons. Personality tests should be required before any candidates are even allowed to announce their desires to run. The world and history is full of Neros, Hitlers, Castros, Saddam Huesseins, and the like who rise to power because everyone is afraid to challenge them and their maniacal control and just assumes they are "normal" people. When, in reality by mental and emotional standards, they have proven to be very mentally sick puppies. It appears Obama is another one. He is obviously scarred by a dysfunctional family situation, encouraged by his own self-doubt to focus on gaining attention rather than building his character, acting as though he is all that and a bag of chips, when, in reality, he is nothing but professional con-artist and very well-practiced at his craft. Narcissists become addicted to manipulating; their threatening anger is feared by the weaker people close to them, who end up supporting them and becoming part of the narcissistic supply source that catapults them into the spotlight they crave.
It is not that Obama or any narcissist wants to really do good, and do so even if it is not recognized. They have no humility. They just want the credit for good deeds and the accolades it brings them, (even if they steal the credit from someone else) but they dont really give a hoot about being good people.

“[Mr. McCain] is doing better among white voters, especially white voters without college educations.”
That would be us “bitter white folks clinging to God and gun” right? Perhaps we’ve just figured out that our cars don’t run on hope and change, they run on gasoline and that comes from oil.

McCain] is doing better among white voters, especially white voters without college educationsI suspect that the number of college graduates who become lawyers, and thus dependent on the entitlement industry, are responsible for statistics like this.

Mr. Zogby said racial prejudice is clearly behind some of the defections from Mr. Obama and said Mr. McCain has made gains among conservatives, women and young voters, and now leads among Catholics - a group Mr. Obama struggled to win over in a grueling primary battle against Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.If "racial prejudice is clearly behind some of the defections from Mr. Obama," then does that mean people were not prejudiced because of race before they became prejudiced because of race? It doesn't make any sense to me.
