Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois today exhorted his supporters to get extremely aggressive in their communities to persuade their neighbors to vote for Obama in November.
Speaking to a crowd in Elko, Nevada, Obama was quoted by the AP as urging the people to be his 'ambassadors':
"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.
"And if they tell you that, 'Well, we're not sure where he stands on guns.' I want you to say, 'He believes in the Second Amendment.' If they tell you, 'Well, he's going to raise your taxes,' you say, 'No, he's not, he's going lower them.' You are my ambassadors. You guys are the ones who can make the case."
Obama has campaigned as a uniter. One can't help but wonder how neighbors will react to people getting up in their faces arguing to them to vote for Obama and how many friendships will be ruined by Obama this fall.
We may just do that.

I'm suspicioning more and more that the collapse of Fanny, etc has been a plug the demRats have been ready to pull (they created it and prevented steps to correct it - saving it for a tool?) at at time of great crisis in the campaign - like now, with the obambi on the verge of going down.

As far as him lowering my overall tax burden, that's not even remotely on the table. Even hard core Obama supporters should feel silly trying to float that line.

I think this is a great idea. I would love for one of these people to engage me in public, because, unfortunately for Mr. Obama, reality doesn't seem to support his arguments here. It's just another aspect of his elite mentality. He thinks he's smarter than everybody else in the room. He'll quickly realize that he's wrong. This could actually cost him votes because the target audience of this tactic are generally much more informed than those who are already committed to their vote, and public discourse such as this could poison the well within his own base as matter of (unintended) consequence...
No problem... I like community organizing too. Just takes one bbq to spread the word to ask the bums to leave the property... egg them on a bit, and report them as trespassers. First offense is a misdemeanor... I figure two weeks of haranguing the neighbors and they’ll all have felony trespass charges against them. Hopefully they have a few drug convictions as well so 3 strikes applies. One can dream, right?
I just had a heartwarming thought. In 20 years from now we will have have a couple of generations of people who have alternatives to the “ORB” of knowledge that is the left wing media. They won’t be able to zombify as many people as they do now.
My mother is one of those little old ladies who won’t vote for Obama. My parents grew up in Manhattan and voting “D” is just like a reflex action. She raised 3 Fire Breathing Conservative Sons, she’s still puzzled.
My mothers generation only knew from Walter Cronkite and the “news”.

Gee I was rambling there, to finish my point on my last post. I think this election will represent the lefts LAST CHANCE to get someone in office as radical as Obama. The secondary media and people like us won’t let it happen, we have a voice now.
No way in hell Obama wins this election, I’ll bet anyone any amount of money.
