Just got a phone call from a very worried FReeper in Miami. Says it's going to be a sad day for America if Obama gets the White House, especially if he also has a 60 vote Democrat Senate. He's also very worried about McCain's campaign. Says he's beginning to name names, but in addition to naming names, he needs to kick butt! Sarah is doing her part but someone needs to light a fire under John McCain! And he wants to know what FReepers are going to do about it.
I told him we're working on it in all 50 states!
So here's the challenge. We know that Obama is a lying Marxist and if he wins the presidency, he'll surrender to the terrorists, weaken our national security, decimate our military, scrap our navy, scrap our nuclear defenses, give up our national sovereignty to world government organizations, pack the court with liberal activist judges, nationalize our banking systems (oops, scratch that, nearly done already, but he'll finish the job), nationalize our health care systems, seize our oil companies, nationalize our transportation systems, sign international global warming treaties, raise our taxes, and destroy what's left of our economy and our freedom.
So what MORE can we do to save our freedom? Does anyone have a plan to swing the so-called battleground states to our side? I can't believe that Americans would be so dumb to not see the stark differences between these two visions for America. It truly will be a dark period for America if the socialist Marxists seize power!
Well, I don't think Americans are that stupid. If Obama wins, he'll be winning via ACORN. Massive nationwide voter fraud!

When someone continually posts negative comments, obviously to get attention, one begins to think this person is extremely lonely.

plf is rather descriptive in getting his point across...but he has a good point about the toilets.
Congress mandated what size toilet we are allowed to purchase and install in our homes. Improvements in the engineering have taken place since the law was passed some 15(?) years ago, but the fact is, the effort to save water is thwarted when you have to flush twice.
I find absolutely outrageous that Congress would dictate what size toilet I can install in my house!
Point is though, Congress is and has been involved in nearly every facet of our daily lives. It will only get worse if/when Obama takes the helm with first-mate Pelosi and petty-officer Reid supporting him.
I shudder everytime I hear a pol (including our esteemed President, GW) talk about us living in a free society - it just isn’t true. Sure we have some freedoms, but the choice of whether to watch Survivor or American Idol does not reach the height of freedom spelled out in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. To some extent, Americans still have the freedom to make mistakes until they find success. For some folks, it takes several attempts and failures in a career before success is achieved. In other countries, you are given one option, and if you fail, there are no alternative paths to success. Americans still have the right to largely determine for themselves what success is. This is the unique and truly wonderful thing about being an American. My main problem with Obama and his marxist-democrat ilk is that they want to tell me what success is - as an individual. Please correct me if I am wrong - but has anyone ever heard Obama entertain the topic of life in a free society? Freedom and liberty are not part of his lexicon. I fear for the cause of freedom and liberty and do not understand how so many people can be for the type of change Obama represents and promises. Anybody but Bush? - well the Presidency is term-limited; I just don’t understand how people can be so lead by their emotions and be so open to someone so obviously vaccuous as Barack Obama.
Bottom line though - if Congress will dictate the size of our toilets - they are capable of dictating anything to sheepish electorate.

I have low-water-usage toilets in my house, too, but I don’t feel that it’s necessary to go into detail about my family’s elimination practices. But anyway ...
We also have low-flow showerheads, which we installed on our own initiative, to save money on our water usage.
I agree, there will likely be some things get worse if Obama is elected, especially if he has a compliant Congress and Senate. On the other hand, we can’t blame Obama for our toilets. And no matter what, we will deal with it without becoming hysterical, because how does that help?
Would that be the conservative side or the republican side? These days, the difference is more striking than ever.
Well, for now let’s just say the anti-Obama/terrorist/Marxist/abortionist side. We can quibble about the rest later.
