The presidential radio address will be getting a well-deserved upgrade once Barack Obama is sworn into office next year. His weekly radio address will also be uploaded to YouTube for all of the Internet to see, according to the Washington Post.

Obama will begin utilizing the system even before making it to the White House by recording the Democratic address today, which will be posted on his transition Web site, Change.gov Sunday via YouTube.

“His weekly radio address will also be uploaded to YouTube for all of the Internet to see, according to the Washington Post.”

Obama’s minions don't give a crap about what Obama has to say. They want free money and if they don't get free money then they will turn on him like rabid crocodiles.

Had to see this coming a mile away. I find it interesting for them to say it will improve transparency. How does it do that? If all presidents have been doing it, it is the same transparency. Him telling us what he wants us to hear doesn’t improve transparency.

All in all from a PR standpoint it is a good idea.

Well, it’s hard to give people the finger over the radio, so YouTube makes sense for Barry.

Then it won't really be a "radio address" anymore, right?

Why not just interrupt everyone's TV transmission and erect huge video screens that flash his image which all citizens of Oceania must watch?

It’s not a bad idea. Really Bush should have stuck the thing on a website a long time ago. How many people actually listen to the radio enough to even know what station in their area (if any) even carry the weekly address much less listen to the thing. The weekly address was created because at the time it was by far the best way for the president to speak to the highest percentage of the American people. The radio is no longer that tool, if they want to keep the core idea it’s time to upgrade.

Of course I’ll ignore it, just like I ignored the radio address, but the upgrade is a good idea.

The real president gets his Weekly Radio Address on the broadcast channels in real time.

The MSM won't give Obama airtime, so he must use The People's Tube for free, but brags about how cool it is.

Yano, Barack, NBC won't touch my stuff either, that's why I must use Youtube (just like you and the girls lipsynching Barbie World).

Don’t worry, the offensive button will be removed from his video. The Youtube boys don’t want no trouble.

Will we be required to stop whatever it is we are doing and, post-haste, get to the nearest computer to watch?
