I am thinking the same thing after reading the entire list from SCOTUS today. I think all they ruled on was the stay itself, not the case, but I am certainly no atty.
I would love to hear from CBB on this too.
It really is time to move on.
Is it troubling that so much of Barack Obama's past, including his original birth certificate, has been hidden from sight? Hell, yes - if you ask me, but the truth is that this is a political issue more than a judicial one. Most people simply do not care. If they did, they would not have voted for the guy, or at least demanded that the news media do their job. They didn't, and I don't remember a huge outcry among the broader population about it.
Rightly or wrongly, the public wanted "change", and man, did they ever get it. They were sick of Bush, sick of weasel-y, spineless Republicans, and in a generally foul mood. In such an environment, the matter of Obama's record and origins took a back seat to the overwhelming (stupid, perhaps, but overwhelming) desire for something New and Different.
Well, the public got what it wanted and although we may not all deserve it, the majority certainly does. So, I've decided that David Horowitz is correct: let it go. Leave the windmill-tilting for Moonbats; for one thing they're much better at it and each new "cause" just makes them all crazier than a sack of loons.
Reality is much harder work, and much of the Left is not real accomplished at that. Let's get on with it then, and focus on formulating an effective and principled opposition rather than haggling over a technical qualification that although Constitutionally defined, has little real meaning and even less public support.

Waiting for Leo Donofrio to post an update on his site. Perhaps as you say, the stay is denied, and another part of his case is still under consideration. I just do not know what to think since it is all over that it was denied. Period.

You have summed up a number of important overall concepts that I think get lost in daily debate/discussion. My view is that the US (and probably most western european countries though I am not as well informed there) has a ‘managed republican government,’ meaning all major candidates allowed to get much positive coverage are pretty much on the same page on major economic issues (free trade, federal budget, illegal immigration, etc.). The media can demonize and marginalize almost anyway with selected/distorted quotes/depictions of their views, exaggerated scandal-type responses to any gaffes, etc.
If anyone has not caught this concept, the media has the power to destroy ANY candidate if they want to, and to elevate anyone they want as well to top-contender status. It may not be known WHO will win an election, but it is known that whoever actually has a chance of winning will be on team global. I think the obama appeal to so many large interests is that he is expected to be totally manageable - no unilateral US-doing-anything.

We’ll either have to wait for court comments (if any), or info from Leo, to make the other pending cases better.
Donofrio, Cort, and “Dr Orly” (the attorney in Keyes’ case) communicate regularly on the cases. I KNOW Donofrio is passing on “lessons learned” to make their cases stronger.
The media usually chears loudist when their Socialist team scores. The US Constitution team is being trashed and they are happy.
Article II states the criteria pretty clearly, but as far as I know, (not very far) there’s no mechanism to assure compliance. Or to prove eligibility. I don’t think that there’s any law to compel anyone to present any kind of evidence at all. This presents a ton of trouble to anyone trying to make a case, and it isn’t the SC’s job to sort it out for the plaintiff. We’re on the honor system here, and if something sneaks past we’re screwed. Am I nuts? That’s what this looks like to me.

This case wasn’t about his BC, so have faith!
This was about strictly his father’s citizenship.
Small point, but - Obama was not involved in any way in the Donofrio case. Donofrio sued the Secretary of State - not Obama. Neither he nor the DNC “fought” this case or went to any “trouble” vis-a-vis this case.
Berg’s case is another story.
The stay was denied. But I don’t see anything about cert being denied, or dismissed.
