Beck: Blow-up coming by 2010
Glen Beck Show | 2/10/09

Posted on 02/10/2009 7:36:55 PM PST by pabianice

Beck was animated tonight. He predicts some sort of blow-up/revolution by next year. Rationed healthcare for those over 50. Obama's Brownshirts. Three trillion dollars down the toilet in ObamaAid. The Left confiscating private firearms. Illegal aliens getting "stimulus" money and amnesty. The Obama war on religion. The second and third ranking Justice Department nominees child pornographers and anti-military hatemongers. Interesting.

“the federal government is simply too powerful to defeat in a military confrontation.”

The gov’t has no power at all if the military simply decides to not participate in quashing a rebellion.

Free Republic needs to drop its opposition to rebellion, secession, or an overthrow of the government. Who is going to lead it if not us?

They may sign a bill....but the confiscation will NOT occur!

100% agree, will stake my life on it. They may try, they won’t like the result. That would be the catalyst and I think they know it. I don’t think they will try it unless he gets his civilian army and if he begins to build that, the SHTF moment begins IMO.

will the South rise again??

When it comes, it will be the heartland against the psychopaths on the coasts.

And I'd like to see it happen sooner rather than later. Some day I want to father children, but that's not an option with the country the way it sits today.

I’m not sure if it’s pushing 10% here, but it’s not looking good. This state only knows how to spend - Ahnald turned out to be the joke many of us thought he’d be.

I have feeling that the reason guns are going off the shelf is more than the just the fear that Obama is going to try and take them away. People are preparing for something.

OK people you have to remember that Beck can be a drama queen sometimes.

Shep and Geraldo are the queens of drama.

Go ahead and believe that americans dont have the stomach! I live in the south, and you can take it to the bank that if the government starts trying to grab guns, especially from this administration, there will be a revolt!!

Free Republic needs...

No, FR does not need. JimRob already has a target on his back, if he openly advocated what you are talking about, that target would become a blinking neon sign saying destroy me.

I for one like having the old man around.

"How will we vote, then? ;-)

From the rooftops."

I'd add, to quote a famous person of Japanese extraction: "From behind every blade of grass"

A tax revolt cannot work. All the laws are stacked against it.

An armed rebellion also cannot work in these times.

But there are other ways. Martin Luther King did it.

Who will join it? Who will risk everything for it?

Me and me. That's 2. Who's willing to join me in the fight to regain this country and restore the Constitution to its rightful place as the law of the land and the framework for a nearly perfect system of government?

After the smoke clears, we'll fix those few small flaws in the Constitution that have led us to where we are today.

No trespassing laws may still apply.

I don't think roamers will go after the hard targets, at first.
I won't be around to find out. I'll be in a cabin on a mountain.

Not that I am aware of. Comparing then to now is like comparing apples to oranges. The Colonists had support from major powers such as France and Spain. Who would support modern revolutionaries? Not Europe or Russia?

Britain was also three months voyage by sea away from the fighting causing the Crown huge difficulty with communication and resupply with its forces. No such troubles exist for Washington today.

As I said, revolution would not last long and would result in the complete extinguishing of freedom in America. We have no choice but to work within the system.
