What Is Science?

What Is Science?

"Even if all the data point to an intelligent designer, such an hypothesis is excluded from science because it is not naturalistic."

—Dr. Scott Todd, Kansas State University, Nature 401(6752):423, Sept. 30, 1999

What You Will Learn

Many people do not realize that science was actually developed in Christian Europe by men who assumed that God created an orderly universe. If the universe is a product of random chance or a group of gods that interfere in the universe, there is really no reason to expect order in nature. Many of the founders of the principle scientific fields, such as Bacon, Galileo, Kepler, and Newton, were believers in a recently created earth. The idea that science cannot accept a creationist perspective is a denial of scientific history...

That’s not an answer to the question.

In typical evo fashion....

[[How has the earth been determined to not be at the center of the universe?]]

Yard-Stick measurements- it’s true! I went to a meuseum, saw a newspaper from oh... 140 million bc, and some dude did a measurement when he was laid off from his auto makers job- I think he worked for Chrysler.

Read and get educated ...

So where does multiverse theory fit into your adolescent mentality?

Thanks for proving to your buddy Buck there’s absolutely nothing conclusive about the center of the universe, one way or another though! ;)

Oh, the Dover case. That’s where the ID’ers wanted to teach that God may be dead! Is that what you really want your kids taught in science class?

My tax money goes to pay for religious classes in public schools and NOT once have I ever called for removing them from the school system.

Where's that? What religion are they teaching in public schools?

No. But when someone says the sky is red I ask for a citation.

Another evidence that evos miss the obvious. They need a citation to prove what everyone can see with their own eyes on any random morning or evening?

Do you have a clue how ridiculous you look in trying to make yourself look objective and intellectual?

1. That apparenetly some people think science can intrude into religion but not the other way around.

2. It works.

3. Like everything else, the findings are on-going.

If you think that there’s no difference between a lie and an allegory and you believe that the Bible is an allegory, what exactly do you believe?

If it’s all allegory, there is no real sin, or need for redemption, or real Christ. How can you claim to believe in Christ if you don’t even think that He was real?

Ummmm...not at all.

I have never seen a scientific study that supports that “It works.”

Please answer the question in post 178

“Would you support the opt out option for students in the public schools in regards to teaching creation instead of an outright ban on teaching creation in science classes? One that would allow creation to be taught along with evolution but not requiring that children attend?”

OK, so following this to it’s logical conclusions allmendream...please explain the mysterious absence of lawsuits surrounding all these useless nonproductive musings...

manmade global warming, multiverse, string theory, studying the effects of prayer...after all your tax dollars are going down the drain too, I assume.

Could it be something other than science is at play here?

Is it ONLY about evidence as you suggest?

We have a mechanism for sorting out the productive ideas from the useless ones.

Ummmm in case you haven’t noticed, these aren’t exactly brand new ideas...so what exactly IS that allmendream?

I asked for a citation since you mispoke in your post. Rather than arguing over some general reference, I wanted a specific reference to show you your error. Don't you have a clue how rediculous you look making generalizing statements that are so easily proven to be in error?
