Common Tator is very, very ill, battling cancer...lung, to his liver.

My is so muddled right now, I don’t know who to post this to.
Ray is completly out of it now, not able to speak. I talked to his step-daughter a few minutes ago, and she said it is basically just a matter of time. I was going down tomorrow to see him, but she said that they prefer only close family to be there. Although I feel like I am Ray’s family, I will respect her wishes.
I’m just so blessed that just a few days ago, he gave me his last column, via telephone, which AF Phys helped me with. It’s on another thread.
I hope this post makes some kind of sense. My heart is hurting, I just pray for Ray to have a peaceful passing, and his step daughter said she would call me when that happens.
I can’t imagine my life without him. I guess I am in denial, I don’t know. All I can do is ask for your prayers.

I don’t really know Commontator on a personal level, though what I do know he seems like one amazing man and the kind of guy you would be honored to call a friend.
I have learned so much from him I can’t even explain it. I can honestly say with no exaggeration that he has taught me more about politics and the political process then I have learned over my entire life and in college and I am a Poli Sci major!
He is one amazing guy and I will continue to keep him and his friends and family in my thoughts and prayers.

That is such a tribute to my Ray....this is the first post I will try to read to him tomorrow.
I think that's why he and my daughter get along so well, she has 3 degrees from Ohio State, and one was in Poly Sci....she was usually the only Conservative in her classes, but she was not afraid to speak out, just like Ray.

He and I have traveled around the internet together...and I always appreciate his insight and knowledge.
He was very much a teacher during last year’s presidential election.
