Tea Party Total Head Count Thread (Post Your Attendance Numbers Here)
Wednesday, April 15, 2009 | Kristinn

Posted on 04/15/2009 3:08:47 PM PDT by kristinn

I'm hoping to be able to ascertain an overall national figure of attendance at the tea parties today by asking Freepers to post their crowd estimates on this thread.

I'm also asking that the thread be kept to just the numbers, no photos, etc., but if you want to link back to photos in your crowd estimate that's fine.

Please give the location and number of participants.

I'll go first:

Melbourne, FL - 1000.

Small socialist democrat crowds always seem to be reported as hundreds of thousands or millions. Yet these protests are reported at a few hundred.

With the conservatives quiet nature I will suggest when you get even a real number of a hundred they represent MILLIONS of pissed off Americans that had to work versus getting to go to a Tea Party !

I personally am very grateful for all good Americans that protested today . Protested this criminal administration. Took time , lost a day of work and were able......

Thank you one and all ......

Hello,

As reported by the Lake Sun Leader (on-line), more than 300 attended the TEA Party at the Camden County Courthouse (Camdenton, MO). Not bad, not bad at all...

(I'm in St. Louis, and wanted so badly to go, but my boss is on vacation, and I had to work, just got home, in fact.)

:)

The tea parties are headline news on Yahoo News.http://news.yahoo.com/i/718 My husband thinks that more people get their news off Yahoo and other internet sites than any of the other print media. There is a great 55 picture slideshow of tea party pictures from all over the country, showing huge crowds at some of them. The word is out, no matter how much CNN tries to trivialize or marginalize this, it is just too huge and there are pictures all over the internet! They can try to ignore this but just makes them look really stupid and out of touch(even more than usual)

Just wanted to say thanks for your labor of love.

It would be great if someone can continue this, and then email the results to Rush, Sean, Mark, and others for further publicity.

Revise Indianapolis - wayyyy more than 1,000. Pajamas Media reports 8,000. I was there, at least 5,000. Local networks report thousand(S) - plural.

Any reports on the Louisiana Tea Parties? I heard that Baton Rouge had around 3,000. How did Metairie, Covington, Mandeville and others do?

WOW! I was there and am no expert on crowd size. That plaza holds THAT MANY people?!?!? I thought the turnout was so-so.

Great crowd. Great signs.
