Darwin-Only Advisors Hunker Down to Re-Strategize

June 12, 2009 — Strict Darwinian materialists are a minority in the United States, yet they enjoy autocracy in educational policy, complete control of scientific institutions, and nearly complete unquestioned support from the mainstream media. Nevertheless, they have to face living in a country that is predominantly religious. Once in awhile they suffer setbacks, like the recent changes in textbook policy in Texas that will require more scrutiny of the claims of evolution. What do they say amongst themselves when strategizing how to handle the public?...

FD2003: Satan wants us not to know that great grandaddy to the 33rd power was an ape???? Rest well, fella.

As a Darwinist, you are in a poor position to determine who is and is not Christian.

Where did you get that? You’re just making stuff up. The article says that the Evos won’t be satisfied until believers completely capitulate. As such, believers (even Christians who compromise with Darwin’s atheist creation myth) are viewed as enemies until they wave the white flag of surrender.

==Yes, I am. I don’t think I said anything to imply otherwise.

I never said that you said otherwise. But a vaguely recalled you claiming atheism as your religion. I just wanted to make sure.

==That’s a poor attempt at mind reading and psychology

Not at all, I have read testimony after testimony of former Christian Darwinists saying that they simply took Darwinism for granted because that is what they had been taught by our government funded (and protected) Darwinist indoctrination centers from the time they entered elementary school, until the time they earned their Ph.D.

Thanks for the ping, BlackElk. I don’t believe we have crossed paths before, but I must say, I like the way you think :o)

Likewise, I’m sure. I’ll be away until late evening but I will be back. Keep up the good fight!

“Where did you get that?”

That was an article by someone who believes that evolution was a theory created by Satan and given to the king of Babylon utop the Tower of Babel (no joke), that the craters on the moon and the rings of Saturn were created by the battle between Lucifer and Michael, and that God created blacks with genes that make them less intelligent and servants and even slaves to the other races.
So... that’s where the article came from.

Morris is also hilariously bad at history and science, for instance, from the article: “Charles Lyell’s uniformitarianism and his “progressive creationism.”” - The “progressive creationists” were the Catastrophists! They believed in a progressive fossil record. The Uniformitarians, including Lyell, believed that the fossil record was... well... mostly uniform, and showed no progression - that’s why they were Uniformitarians!

The really serious challenges to Darwinism are coming from within it's own temple so trying to devise a strategy against creationists isn't likely to accomplish much.

That's why I find the argument, “you just don't understand science/Darwinism”, against the Bible as any kind of authority (that seems to the real target or at least, a co-target of Darwinism) tiresome.

Maybe the Darwinists should ask why so many evolutionists are termites in The Temple.

People can disagree with the interpretation of the fossil record without rejecting all science.

But they reject most science. Physics, astronomy, biology, anatomy ...

“I never said that you said otherwise. But a vaguely recalled you claiming atheism as your religion. I just wanted to make sure.”

—I never claimed it was my religion. It’s not taken as dogma, and I fully admit I could be wrong. I even hope I AM wrong (I’m hoping for a much more interesting afterlife than the one I’m expecting ;-) )

“Not at all, I have read testimony after testimony of former Christian Darwinists saying that they simply took Darwinism for granted because that is what they had been taught by our government funded (and protected) Darwinist indoctrination centers from the time they entered elementary school, until the time they earned their Ph.D.”

—I’ve heard many stories that say the very reverse - that they were creationist until learning about evolution at a university. I went to several different public schools and have always been very intersted in science - and I literally don’t think that from k-12 that evolution was ever MENTIONED in school. I only really first knew anything at all about it around 12th grade, and only from some books that I read in my own time.

Evolutionary humanism, on the other hand, purports to explain the origin and development of the cosmos entirely by natural processes innate to the universe itself.

Right there I stopped reading as that guy has no idea what he is talking about. OTOH, he may know but is false positioning himself on the topic inorder to put out a 'convincing' argument accepted only by the little minds that don't know anything about evolution.

Where did you get that?

From your post:

But when a Christian attempts to alter this ultimate statement of reality to fit the compromising philosophies of men--even scientifically-trained professionals--then woe to him for his unbelief and, even graver still, for teaching others that unbelief.

Today, the names of Christian leaders who advocate compromise in the Genesis record are different, but the precipice on which they stand is just as dangerous.

As a Darwinist, you are in a poor position to determine who is and is not Christian.

Since there are a about 500 zillion types of Christians many of which claim the other 400 zillion are not Christians how can you claim to speak for Christians?

I copied and pasted your post and it is a stand-alone thought. Lying is not a Conservative value, nor is it Christian (but then again, neither are you).”

sigh.........

Interesting thought: Most evolutionists have no problem with the Bible. It is the YECrs that have all the problems with trying to reconcile the Bible with today's advancing science data base. Maybe your viewpoint is what is wrong.

Uh, evolution is taught to the masses only a couple of days of their entire educational career and most probably never remember being taught. You are just making that up or they or making it up to support your position.

The claims you're making don't match Gallop's results. Your claims regarding that Gallop table are that 45% of all Amercans believe in the creationist view. Those claims are not supported by the evidence, because their own results indicate that only 25% of Amercans don't believe in evolution.

Also note that the group "Naturalist Evolution", from the table you've presented includes Christians.
