London, July 02(ANI): Johnny Depp is keen on teaching his children to handle guns.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star, who learnt shooting at the age of six in Kentucky where he grew up, wants to pass on his experience to his kids.
"We would just go out and line up a bunch of cans and shoot with rifles, handguns and at times, submachine guns," the Daily Star quoted him as saying...

Yeah. He did. I’m figuring he wants them prepared to fight war against Conservative Christian American patriots on behalf of the Global Defense Ministry, coming soon.
“So daddy won’t you take me back to Muhlenberg county
Down by the Green River where Paradise lays...”
IIRC, he lashed out about the "immigrants" being out of control in France and thought of moving back to the U.S. during the Bush years.
He doesn't say much about politics and doesn't come across as a bleeding heart Liberal, but I'm sure he leans farther to the Left than anybody around here does.
He was very good in: Donnie Brasco and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. I would like to see him as the new Jason Bourne./Just Asking - seoul62.......
Beat icon William Burroughs was also a gun fancier .
I sincerely doubt “Johnny Depp” squeezed the trigger on a submachine gun.
Ok, here’s my intel on Depp. Yes, he lives in France and is very liberal - ‘politically’. HOWEVER, and this is JUST ANECDOTAL, the typically liberal and ‘disenchanted’ youth are very pissed off at (and afraid of) the Muslims. The story I hear is that the French would good naturedly give the Germans some ribbing about how ‘’square’’ they are in their mannerisms and thinking, yet, there is kinship and likeability. There is NO joking about Moslims. There is a deep resentment formenting - if even a hatred. While the French Socialist youth and middle age population may carry their flags for ‘’whatever’’ - there’s some pretty stong evidence related to this guy about a backlash brewing.
Long story, but Depp damn well KNOWS this! (...and I’m damned happy to report it.)
I saw it today and was very impressed. Possibly the most realistic shootout scenes of any "gangster" film. Actual magazine changes and everything - Depp field-stripped that Thompson very convincingly. Even the Mauser sporter looked 100% authentic, right down to the butterknife bolt handle.
My only complaint was the failure of Depp's makeup people to putty over his ear piercings - I kinda doubt that Dillinger ever wore an earring.
Played Hunter Thompson, too.
LOL! :-)
Oh he pretty well freaked out when the Muslims starting going crazy in the Paris suburbs and high tailed it back to America. The suburbs of Paris have big apartment ghettoes.
He had been prattling on about how great Freance was before that. I think he just likes to be left alone and France was probably pretty low key especial compared to the toilet of Hollywood.
I would like to see the Dillinger movie because Christian Bale is very good. Told his step-mother Golria Steinem to “shut up!” at dinner one night because she would spew her feminist crap.
Johnny D grew up in KY but lived in So. Florida when he was a teen until probably 19 when his band moved to LA to try to make it. He never graduated high school.
Go Johnny!
OOOOPS! Wrong link! That was ‘Fretkiller’ doing the song.
Here’s the link to Johm Prine doing his song:

THAT was NOT John Prine singing, just sayin’.
Yeah, I figured it out. I put the wrong link up. but have since posted the right one. <%o)

Seems like it is almost “Huguenot time” in France.
Well he is from my hometown of Owensboro in Western Kentucky, there would certainly have been plenty of places where he could have gone out a shootin...
