Joan Walsh at Salon has an interesting blog post lambasting Liz Cheney’s appearance on the Larry King Show tonight. She throws a fit over Cheney “defending” Birthers on Larry King’s show and acts like this is the biggest political suicide ever. For those who are not aware of what a “birther” is, this is the Conservative equivalent to the “truthers” on the left who claim they just want the truth about 9/11, but really just want to subtly blame George Bush for blowing up the Trade Center. Birther’s believe that Obama is not qualified to be President of the United States because he was actually born in Kenya or Indonesia or in Hawaii before it was a state, or any variety of conspiracies that invalidate the Obama’s eligibility to be President. They claim that since Obama never has provided a Certificate of Live Birth issued by the State of Hawaii, that this proves he is hiding his true birth place. Personally I don’t think that, but I do think there is something on the COB that he wants to hide, like he is Muslim or something.

Barky’s hiding something for sure. I remember his surprising visit to hawaii before an important primary to see his soon-to-pass grandmother(?) He spent more time with the gov., probably to get help in burying his records.

It was a rhetorical question. Of course it is obvious that Obama is hiding something major. Not sure what it is, but you don’t put out forged/fraudulent documents and spend over a million dollars hiding a 14.00 BC for nothing.
A redacted birth certificate missing a watermark, produced on a Windows PC and printed on a Laser printer in the year 2008 is a forged document, and therefore deemed a fraud like Barack Hussein Obama.
Yep. The fact that the press seems so frantic to protect him with these silly articles and ‘interviews’ is pretty telling too. The press in this country will come crashing down with Obama if he is a fraud and usurper.
The press is actually making Obama look even more guilty by not reporting the story fairly. They are in panic mode.

Why has he changed his hospital of birth? I have an idea about that....pure speculation though.
He didn't go to see 'Toot" off until Philip Berg went to HI to look for the BC.
At that time the story was that "Toot" was recovering from a hip operation, then she cashed in her chips allegedly from cancer.
Why would she have gotten a hip implant if she was on the verge of checking out from cancer?

I can’t understand this attemped parallel between “birthers” and “Troothers.” If an answer (effortless, costless, easy and for most normal people even joyful) is kept hidden in a tightly sealed envelope, then wanting to see what’s in that envelope because of a Constitutional issue unique to the POTUS and Vice POTUS, is not, nor could ever be conspiracy minded. Most people would be satisfied were Obama to release it and everything was on the up and up, not satisfied with Obama’s policies, but satisfied that he’s constitutionally entitled to hold the job. The issue would die immediately. Then those who insisted might be qualified as conspiracy freaks.
It is the sheer effortlessness of reaching a settlement vis-a-vis Obama’s dogged refusal that keeps this thing going. Nobody in his right mind would want to fuss with expensive lawyers over something as easy as a birth certificate. It’s the Constitution that makes a demand that the President be USA born and that demand is unique to the POTUS. I’ll grant you that such a demand can be logically criticized - but so too can almost all laws.
The CONSUTUTION demands it!!! That means it needs to be answered clearly and conclusively, simply and good-naturedly, with no fuss, no lawyers, no need for debate or plunges into metaphysics.
The so-called birthers are not at all similar to the Troothers. They’d be similar once Obama showed the original long form and everything was Okay, but they CONTINUED to doubt - though at this point, even that would be more reasonable than the troothers. Conspiracy theorists can go on infinitely (that’s the nature of the beast), but this one could be laid to rest pretty easily.
If the need to show an original long form is considered harassment, then something stinks to high heaven.

Everyone who keeps chanting “Where’s the birth certificate?” is going to be sorely disappointed when Obama whips out a perfect forgery and shuts down this controversy. This media attention is a setup.
You need to be talking about the COLB forgery and his British citizenship at birth in addition to the long-form birth certificate. Otherwise, you’ll get exactly what you asked for - proof that he was born in Hawaii.
Then what?
My personal preference is "Precedent", although I am warming up to "Resident".

What if what he is hiding is that his father isn’t african but arab? His whole claim to fame is that he is black - but we know he isn’t. He isn’t even 1/2 black. He is more Arab than black and maybe they thought it would be too politically damaging to lose his mask.
Team Obama would have done that long ago, if it were possible, but it's not, and I'll tell ya why.
Creating a paper forgery of a long form bc that could fool even expert document examiners isn't the problem.
The problem is in fabricating the identities of the attending physician and any other signatories and witnesses to Obama's birth.
The forgers would have to insert the names and signatures of people on those documents, whose entire life histories would have to precisely intersect with the moment of Obama's birth in a Hawaiian hospital in 1961.
All of that information would have to withstand the closest scrutiny and investigation, which of course, it couldn't, ergo, no forged bc. He can't produce a forged long form bc because he can't falsify the requisite identities to back it up.
