He sounds angry.I think he was going for "indignant."
His ploy is to portray the Republicans as going after him personally instead of on the substance, and the unstated message is that they are trying to break "me (a black man)." So he was pretending to be indignant and outraged at the "racist" Republicans, playing the victim card.

Obama wants people who won't work to get what we pay for. Now, I think Wal*Mart would do a better job of providing medical care than Obama's gubmint. And I don't want to go to Wal*Mart to see a doctor. But if O gets his way, we'll all wish for Wal*Mart medical care..
