The United States did not use the word "African" for birth certificates in 1961 - Obama's does!

VITAL STATISTICS OF THE UNITED STATES 1961 at

 http://www.nber.org/vital-statistics/historical/nat61_1.CV.pdf

says on page 231 under the section "Race and color" the following:

"Births in the United States in 1961 are classified for vital statistics into white, Negro, American Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Aleut, Eskimo, Hawaiian and Part-Hawaiian (combined), and "other nonwhite."

"The category "white" includes, in addition to persons reported as "white," those reported as Mexican or Puerto Rican. With one exception, a reported mixture of Negro with any other race is included in the Negro group; other mixed parentage is classified according to the race of the nonwhite parent and mixtures of nonwhite races to the race of the father. The exception refers to a mixture of Hawaiian and any other race, which is classified as Part-Hawaiian. In most tables a less detailed classification of "white" and "nonwhite" is used."

Obama's "Certification of Live Birth" shows father's race as "African". That word was not used in 1961 to describe race.

You can draw your own conclusion.

Stay tuned “the worst dsiaster to ever befall” this country is unfolding before your eyes.

Conservatives or faux conservatives say “let’s wait til 2010 or 2012.” Yeah for ACORN to steal another election.

Keep burying your head in the sand. “we’ll get em next time.”

Bingo! Why all the noise? Why are supposed conservatives mentioning it now and denouncing it? Rush was joking about being off the air by the end of the year.

Your not alleging that by simply being born in HI (assuming it’s true), that he would then be considered a NBC, are you?

I’ve yet to find any judicial or legislative writings or opinions that state being born to a foreign national father would mean one is NBC.

Leo’s trying (again) to hammer this important point home:

Hawaii Health Department’s Fukino Now Constitutional Lawyer?

President Chester A. Arthur’s father was born in Ireland and his mother was part American Indian. American Indians were not granted US Citizenship at the time that he became President. Chester A. Arthur himself MAY (I repeat MAY) have been born in Canada.
Altogether six other U.S. presidents had a foreign-born parent. Obama is the first in nearly ninety years, since President Herbert Hoover was inaugurated in 1929.

Andrew Jackson (1829-1837) is the only president born of two immigrants, both Irish. Presidents with one immigrant parent are Thomas Jefferson (1801-1809), whose mother was born in England, James Buchanan (1857-1861) and Chester Arthur (1881-1885), both of whom had Irish fathers, and Woodrow Wilson (1913-1921) and Herbert Hoover (1929-1933), whose mothers were born respectively in England and Canada.

Gator, that’s the best idea I’ve heard in years. Lets all do it at once. You know, cut the fool, all of us show up like Sharpton and Jesse’s rent a mobs. Is that Alinsky rule eleven or something. Create chaos, they will give us what we want to shut us up. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. I’m in.

Yeah, thanks to Leo's research last fall, C.A. was not NBC as both of his parents were not citizens at the time of his birth. As for the others, 1) one can be a NBC with both or one parent as an immigrant as long as those immigrants became citizens BEFORE the birth of the would be POTUS. Major difference and 2) some, like Jefferson, were grandfathered in (obviously Barry couldn't be).

Therefore, only C.A. is in play here and has been discussed at length by the one who uncovered it and made it known last year.

So we should think that the Doctor and Nurse filling out the BC paperwork instead let the father fill in the section marked RACE with a designation that was technically incorrect? By this token the Caucasian designation would have been marked WHITE? This might very well happen nowdays, with all the dumbdown PC publik skool edicashun.

Reality is that the Nurse takes down the pertenient information and later fills in the blanks. Yes the father could have claimed AFRICAN, but certainly in 1961 this would not have been considered RACE and the person charged with completing the form would have marked NEGRO or NEGROID.

Since I wasn’t there, I don’t know but it is certainly conceivable to me that whoever filled out the paperwork put down exactly what Barack Obama Senior told him or her to put down on the form.
I know Africans who are very insistent and indignant about the use of the word “Negro” not being how they identify themselves but again, I wasn’t there.
My point was that the Hawaii Health Department spokesman’s explanation was that parents chose their own racial designation.

The legal definition of native born American with regard to eligibility to be President of the United States has never been tested in court so there is no precedent and no further definition other than the exact words of the Constitution.
As Mr. Donofrio and Mr. Berg and several others know full well, the current Supreme Court has been dismissive of attempts to get them to define the term “Native Born” any further.

Furthermore, as you know, the Constitution requires Natural Born...NOT Native born. NBC is what needs a clear agreement here (by the judiciary). Otherwise, what we have are 250+ years of statements and writings that state born in country to 2 citizen parents.

It would be fun. Heck, I won’t mind it a bit to be referred to as African American as folks look at me and scratch their head. ;>)

There is no case law on the subject and Obama is the 7th president with at least one foreign born parent. There is no requirement in the law that a foreign born parent become a US citizen in order for the child to qualify as Native Born.
The only issue is was Barack Hussein Obama II born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961 at 7:24 P.M. If he was, he’s Native Born, if he wasn’t then someone is going to have to prove that he wasn’t in a court of law.

Of those 6 other Presidents with parents who were foreign born, how many of those parents became citizens before their child (that went on to be POTUS) was born?

Hawaii became the 50th state in 1959 — before Hussein’s birth.

But maybe it became the 57th state after that — I’m not sure. Hussein probably knows. ;)

I don’t know and its irrelevant. There is no law or regulation that defines Natural Born American by the status of one’s parents. A child of two illegal aliens who is an anchor baby born on this side of the border can grow up to be President of the United States under current US law.

Two things -
0ne, we are talking about an important legal document. The hospital staff filling out the forms do not do so with you standing there telling them how to fill in the blanks and there were certain legal terms used so anyone reading the document later will not wonder what it meant.
Two, in 1961 especially within the legal system, blacks were described as negro, regardless of how anyone felt about the term. You are confusing 1961 with present day PCness.
