In a sign of the effect the nationwide Tea Party movement is having on politics, both the Associated Press and Barack Obama mentioned throngs of protesters outside the Obama town hall meeting held this morning in Raleigh:
The welcome was in contrast to criticism Obama met as his motorcade made its way from the airport to Needham B. Broughton High School. Thick groups of protesters held signs that said "Obamacare is Socialism," "Politicians + Health Care Disaster," and "Hands Off Our Health Care."
In an ad lib from his prepared remarks, Obama mentioned the protesters he saw in Raleigh on his way to the town hall:
"There were some folks cheering, and then were some folks with some signs."
When your opponents acknowledge you, you know you're being effective. Good job Raleigh tea partiers!

He also needs to be protested by Americans overseas, too, whenever he visits a foreign capital. Far too many foreign news outlets are gushing over this guy still (even though his numbers are tanking at home). It would wake them up to see intelligent, concerned, articulate Americans telling the true story about this idiot and how he is going to further drive America's economy (and probably their's) into the ground.
I would have NEVER sanctioned Americans protesting their President overseas. regardless of the issue or the president.

I was there with my wife and 7 of our 8 kids (somebody had to stay and mind the store :) )
Conservative estimates put the anti-O crowd at around 500, and the moveon types at maybe 100 (though possibly the rest of their ilk were inside - I applied for tickets but must amazingly I was not “selected”.)
At any rate, the message was delivered, now we need to replicate it every place O goes, and we need to do it at every town hall meeting of every one of our so called “Representatives” until they finally get the message.

I'm sure he saw your signs, counted your numbers and heard your voices. More importantly, you all (anti-O-care protesters) gave one another encouragement to continue the fight against socialism in America; and by your lively actions today, you give all of us encouragement to take the fight to any and all "town hall meetings" in our area.
Thank you all again, for standing up, and speaking out for those of us far away who feel as you do.

That narcissist actually thinks that a lot of the crowd is cheering for him. We need to get the word around to all the tea party crowds. When you are where the obot can see you, boo loudly and long...all together as he passes by.
Seems this dentist/attorney has a list online that sets forth numerous SSN connected with Obama. Seems a number of people have SSN under that particular name.

I followed the link to the site that has the crowd booing the motorcade, with the 20 y.o lib telling a Viet Nam veteran that he shouldn't smoke because he has V.A. healthcare. The shape of things to come.

I served in the military from 16 to 24, it was when I left I realised that the country had changed and why was I fighting for a place which doesn't care about me but more about those who are not citizens and the lazy citizens .
I right now have a SIGP229 and yet when I have told friends in the UK they are shocked .
The problem is is the BBC, guardian and a culture who cares more about who wins Britains got talent than what is happening to the country.
the left wants it like that so they can control the dummies and I will not stand idly by while this great country goes the same way.

Thank you for finding the Reagan talk about socialized medicine and the inroads that incrementalism has brought us to. Here is the quote Reagan used from James Madison: “Since the general civilization of mankind, I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpations.” I think we need to be using as many quotes from the Founders as we can as often as we can in every blog, every email, every entry on every message board. I wish there was one central website that had the all writings of all of our Founding Fathers available for our reading and use.
