This is no time for jokes or trivial banter. The stakes are getting higher by the nanosecond. As tensions are inflamed at health care town hall meetings across the country, a dangerous trend of Hitler comparisons, Stalin comparisons, and all-around dictator comparisons to President Barack Obama is taking shape. The most probing question at this juncture might be uncomfortable to some, but it must be asked: Do conservative, hard-right demagogues, whose hatred for President Obama has hardly ever been subdued, secretly hope for--and are hard at work toward--the assassination of the nation's first Black president.
The sheer thought that a faction of the country's political bloc holds such views might unnerve certain readers, but fear of the probable demands that we face up to the consequences before it's too late.
A couple of days ago, violence broke out at a Tampa, Florida, health care summit at which U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor was speaking. Mob groups, contracted by right-wing organizations, loudly interrupted the Congresswoman as she spoke, causing a scene so volatile that it soon turned violent.
For those who had been following the recent outbursts of verbal chaos at countless Congressional health care-centered town hall meetings, the Tampa incident was but the inevitable culmination of a brewing hostility that had begun bubbling as early as last weekend, when Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services, was heckled and berated by reform opponents at a Pennsylvania town hall meeting where she was also joined by Philadelphia Democratic Senator, Arlen Specter.

Did anyone hear the guest on Bill Cunningham’s show the other night? The libertarian author who claimed that when he was at Columbia Law School, when it was announced in his class that Regan had been shot, the whole class errupted in cheers? These, he said, were the talking head hacks we see today all over the nets.
I had this conversation with a lib right after “shock and awe”.....he said that he hated that he wished for Bush to be killed but that in the end it would save more lives, and so that justified him praying for Bush’s assassination. He couldn’t believe that I never hoped that Clinton would be assassinated.....like it was just a natural outpouring of my guy not being elected.
I told him that no matter how bad the world was, I at least went to bed with the peace of mind in knowing that I never wished death upon another human being, and was never so twisted as to think it would benefit anyone else.
Pretty hard to take anybody named “Tutu” seriously, especially when he writes blind leftist garbage like this. This clown writes in something calling itself “a voice for black America”. Imagine how he and his hateful racist ilk would react to something calling itself “a voice for white America”.
And, just to be clear, I want nothing like this to happen to our current CIC — the ensuing political-media meltdown would be unbearable.

It is totally disgusting. I can’t stand the man and what he’s doing to our country. But I definitely don’t want to see him assassinated. I want the privilege of voting him out of office. And I don’t want the chaos that his death would bring. I don’t want ANYONE to be assassinated. What a disturbing question to ask. I think Obama should take care among his own people. Seems they’re the ones asking this type of question.
These lefties are really frightened. One can tell by these bizzarre articles and statements. They did not anticipate the massive resistance to the Health care takeover. Once again the response has frightened them!
