LOL.

Well it would be best not to have thousands of candidates per district, that would ensure victory for the incumbents.

I wonder what the record is for most names on a ballot in a congressional election. I wouldn’t imagine more that 15.

"I wonder what our Republican ‘leaders’ would do with a massive majority."

They'd blow it, of course. We'd have won it in spite of leadership, not because of it. I'd estimate if we won 100 seats, we'd probably lose 50 in 2012, maybe 75. The False Messiah also might win because of it, too. That's why a massive backlash against him now could prove a disaster for us in '12. I was the one that wrote myself we should get near-enough majorities to stop anything the False Messiah can do, but if we got narrow majorities, he could use us as Bubba did to win a second term and run against us as obstructionists. He can't do that when we're still in the minority with a Pelosi-Durbin (since Reid is toast) Congress.

In a primary ? You’ve probably had instances where there were over 2 dozen in open seat situations.

While you’re absolutely correct that the GOP couldn’t consistently win 278 House seats under the current lines without a major realignment, gagining 100 seats in 2010 wouldn’t requre a paradigm shift if we coughed up 25 or 30 of them in 2012.

For the record, if we controlled redistricting in every state, didn’t get greedy when drawing the lines and ran top-notch candidates in every district, I think that the GOP could comfortably hold 300 House seats.

Get your conservatives elected in the primaries. If you can’t win there, you cannot win in the general elections.

Third parties are not helpful for conservatives unless they are the green or progressive parties.

Here is the Dick Morris Game Plan.

2009-10, Obama proves again and again that his "administration" could not manage a Baptist Church Holiday Picnic, even if the fried chicken and watermelon were donated. Depression deepens. Taxes rise. Afghan war deteriorates.

2010, Republicans sweep in.

2010-2012, Depression Deepens

2011, Hillary resigns, kicks Kenyan's ass in primaries. His status as a "Natural Born Citizen," and his eligibility for office still unclear.

2012 Hillary runs against "obstructionist" Republican congress and yet another lame Republican RINO Candidate. She wins. Republicans lose Congress.
Obama status as a "Natural Born Citizen," still unclear.

If only we did....

We had better do well in winning Governorships and the rarely mentioned of FR state legislative chambers.

Maintaining total control in Texas and Florida is especially key.

Morris is the National Enquirer of Idiots.

Perhaps, but the Enquirer was right about John Edwards and the Charles Cook Dem-leaning polling and analysis firm has an analysis out today saying that 100 Dem seats are in play next year. There is a thread up on the subject.

A good read...once I navigated past the myriad pop ups and flash advertising. And I agree. Indeed, I've been saying for a long time that both parties had betrayed the Constitution, in form and spirit. The typical feedback to that, and its maddening every time I hear it, is that the GOP is the lesser of two evils and if I do not support them, I am in effect supporting the 'other side'.

Failure of cogent thought in that theory is pretty evident. Betrayal from either party adulterates the Constitution and creates an environment wherein core freedoms are threatened. If we are not able to get representation that understands the Constitution and stands strong in support of each and every piece of legislation passing a Constitutional litmus test, and soon, we are screwed.

” If the right allows the media to pick another aimless wallflower like McCain in the next election, you can kiss any chance of restoring this republic goodbye. “

I’m not sure we can last that long.

I’m not sure we can last that long.

Well, I've been called, by folks I respect, a hopeless romantic, an eternal optimist... so I pray we can.

Fact is, I consider myself a redneck a-hole with a lifetime of hard work and scrimping and paying off debts and saving for my childrens' futures (learnt at the foot of my depression era adolescent, later ww2 navy pilot, and later yet, very successful investor father).

What else do we have? Save the Republic!

Primary the bastards!
