Don't Exhale. EPA Expected to Declare Carbon Dioxide a Dangerous Pollutant

The Environmental Protection Agency is expected in the next few weeks to declare that carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases are a pollutant, a move that would require the federal government to regulate them -- even without legislation.

Don't exhale.

That advice may need heeding if the Environmental Protection Agency declares carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases a dangerous pollutant, a move -- expected in the next couple weeks -- that would require the federal government to impose new rules limiting emissions.

But some skeptics say regulating carbon dioxide, a byproduct of burning fossil fuels, may be a difficult task, especially since people emit carbon dioxide with every breath.

"The EPA doesn't have the manpower to implement the regulations the way they would have to be," said David Kreutzer, senior policy analyst in energy economics and climate change at the conservative Heritage Foundation.

>> “So no breathing out, but feel free to inhale as much mercury vapor from your CFL light bulbs!”

While I’m certainly mo fan of CFL bulbs, you get more mercury vapor out of the fillings in your teeth when you drink hot coffee than you’ll ever get from a CFL bulb! <<

I wonder how much mercury is in a can of Tuna fish vs. a broken CFL bulb?

Meanwhile Dihydrogen Monoxide continues to kill thousands every year, but I don’t see the government doing anything about that.

yes....and if you withheld your vote...you gave your vote to Obama.

you know the Marxist, anti-American is now the POSOTUS???.....

if you did that, you are to blame for that.

we could have lived for a term with a RINO....but this ACORN @$$hole is the worst thing that ever happened to the USA and it is the fault of those who cut off their noses to spite their faces...and stayed home
(along with countless air brains who saw their 401ks go down the crapper...and their gas prices go to $4 and then saw the word CHANGE or HOPE and thought thats what American needs...change and hope..)

Do you get the impression there’s a strain of insanity going around among big wheels and potentates?

Carbon dioxide?

Pollutant?

Do they also see little green men?

Idiots. CO2 is a basic building block of life. Will O2 be the next pollutant?

Water vapor constitutes Earth’s most significant greenhouse gas, accounting for about 95% of Earth’s greenhouse effect (4). Interestingly, many ‘facts and figures’ regarding global warming completely ignore the powerful effects of water vapor in the greenhouse system, carelessly (perhaps, deliberately) overstating human impacts as much as 20-fold.

Water vapor is 99.999% of natural origin. Other atmospheric greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and miscellaneous other gases (CFC’s, etc.), are also mostly of natural origin (except for the latter, which is mostly anthropogenic).

Human activities contribute slightly to greenhouse gas concentrations through farming, manufacturing, power generation, and transportation. However, these emissions are so dwarfed in comparison to emissions from natural sources we can do nothing about, that even the most costly efforts to limit human emissions would have a very small— perhaps undetectable— effect on global climate.

yup...RINO through and through....

and not one millionth the evil we now have and people like YOU gave us, (if you stayed home election day).

Chrissake you could have voted for the Mc Turd and hoped for him to kick off in office and have Palin to finish out his term....anything...anything would have been better than the evil Marxist presence that is now clutching at our throats......

No I couldn't. I don't do things like that. It's bad enough that I did vote for McTurd. I'm certainly not kicking people who had sense enough not to. Having the same damn agenda put in place under a Republican banner isn't my idea of better. Grow up!

I really hate the Republican party...no...I loathe it...there needs to be a schism...but to have the likes of what we have now in office...I will vote for these
ball-less $h!ts every time.

One of the products of any fermentation process is the emission of CO2. From now on, no farting, no brewing of beer or other types of booze and no dying.
