House to Discipline Wilson for 'You Lie!' Outburst (Democrat hypocrites run amuck)
fox news ^ | 9/15/2009 | Chad Pergram

The House Democratic leadership has decided to bring a "resolution of disapproval" Tuesday afternoon against Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) for his jeer last week at President Obama during a Joint Session of Congress.

Wilson bellowed "You lie!" at Obama during his address. It's against House rules to call the president a "liar" or accuse him of "lying" when the House is in session.

"We're not the British parliament for a reason," said Kristie Greco, spokeswoman for House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC)."Ignoring the issue sets a precedent for bad behavior."

You people dont understand: There is a rule against calling the Kenyan a liar, but there is no rule against stealing from the American people by not paying taxes or by giving your family jobs and government contracts, or by stealing from Ssamoans by not including them in minimum wage laws.

Being censured by this Democrat pack of Jackals is a badge of honor.

I've been thinking about what Joe Wilson did quite a bit for the last week. I agree with what Joe did and why he did it. That doesn't mean that I haven't had plenty of thoughts of what this now means for all Presidential addresses in the future. If Joe's outburst had happened during a State of the Union Address, I would probably have a bit different feeling about it. During a State of the Union Address, the President's Office deserves the respect of all those in attendance to sit there politely and let the President have that event. Last week's address was not a State of the Union Address. It was a sales pitch to Congress and the public. If ever there was a time for Congress to interact with the President and challenge his rhetoric, I couldn't think of better place and time for it. If President feels it is so important to sell us on something, then it should be allowed to turn into an organized debate. Maybe America needs a new form of dialog with the President, but only if the President wants to appear before Congress in a fair and open debate on whatever the issue is. If a President feels so strongly about something, this would not only be his chance, but a great chance for the opposition to debate him on it. Like I said, I've been thinking about what happened.

Hve you re-watched videos of George Bush’s State of the Union addresses??? And heard the boos and seen the behavior of the entire democrat party? Did you see Hillary Clinton smirking and nodding her head when George Bush talked about defeating al Qaeda? The democrats booing when Bush talked about saving social security? Do you remember the hearings when democrat staffers sneaked the crazy code pinks into the Chamber to run amok?

And Pelosi’s winged monkeys want to lecture anyone about maintaining the “decorum” of the House?

As the arbiters of manners, good taste, and appropriate behavior, weren’t the democrats the ones that BOOED REPUBLICANS AT PAUL WELLSTONE’S FUNERAL?

Nothing other than giving Wilson a great sound bite for re-election! Pelousy just can't stop digging that hole!

This will only bury Dims further in their self-inflicted pain and raise more money for Joe Wilson.

Idiots! If they worked in my business, someone would take them out back by the dumpster for a gentle conversation. They would come back ready to play nice.

My post deserves another read by you. I watched all of President Bush's addresses to Congress when they happened and remember the behavior of the left side of the aisle. I remember them booing so badly once that they had to applaud themselves. One of Congress's most creepy moments. I also remember last week hearing the right side of the aisle mummer and boo right before Wilson's outburst. There have always been mummers and boos when a controversial President is speaking about sensitive issues. I understand all that. The point I'm trying to make is that Congress, especially the minority needs a chance to debate the President whenever the President is there to speak and sell a Bill that is being hotly debated. In this case, invited by the party in power. In a case such as this, I would propose that the minority opposition be the only group that can stand and question any part of the President's address and that the party in majority would have to keep their mouths shut, since they have the President speaking for them. The numbers of Senators or Congressmen that can stand and take issue would have to be worked out.

They’re still trying to “play nice,” both in media interviews and on FR where they’re insisting Wilson was somehow “boorish” for pointing out the obvious in Obama’s speech. Personally, I call it courageous.

Not to mention the disgusting display at Ozero’s inaugeration ceremony of his invited “guest thugs” booing W.
I hate these bastards!

I was at the DC Tea Party on Sat. (4 friends came up from Georgia) and it was a blast. I can’t wait until the next one. Things like this make me want to march on the capital every weekend.

He should buy a really, really nice frame for it and hang it in his office. Or Rush Limbaugh could auction it.

House to Discipline Wilson

Can we be serious for a moment?

Would not the best, and I mean best in the most literal sense, greatest, most satisfactory, and surpassing all others, way for such an august body as our House of Representatives to discipline Joe Wilson for his rude outburst be to demand than he prove his assertion that the President lied?

What else could be fairer to the President, to the Congress, and to the nation than to learn the truth; did President Obama lie?

Republicans will likely make him a chairman of the "Diversity" Committee.

Membership on committees is voted on by the conference/caucus, I don't know of any standing rule that a letter of reprimand hurts re: committee assignment. I think censure includes a ban on speaking on the Floor for a determined amount of time, as I've said on another thread, it may be restrictive but not unbearable, only look to Barney Frank.
