MarkLevinFan.com ^ | September 16, 2009 | Mark Levin

Posted on 09/16/2009 6:08:48 PM PDT by Sergeant Tim

Mark Levin was asked in an email today by Politico.com who has more influence, Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh. Mark's answer was clear (hear the brief audio at the jump).

The only thing missing when Mark said it was this music playing in the background...

Much ado about nothing. Levin and Limbaugh have been friends for 25 years.

This "story" is a distractor at best, and a disruptor at worst.

Just drop it.

“IMHO, Strengths: Beck has radio in smaller markets, a growing TV audience & very effective investigative skills, Limbaugh has amazing daily political insight as he said he will stay on-air till no more liberals. He entertains and educates with a huge reach in listeners in major metro markets. Levin has his amazing book and the Landmark Legal as well as his radio which plays off his book in framework of statists vs. federalists. They all have great websites with informative links as well.”

Beck is better on his own on TV where he can be entertaining with his touch of craziness, Hannity is a good host and deals with guests fairly well, though he is somewhat limited in debate skills.Rush was OK on TV, but I don’t think his show as it was would work now. Levin is great, but wouldnt play well on TV. He needs the long format to properly explain the concepts he discusses. He’s too cerebral for TV. Beck is highly entertaining in limited doses, but I think whatever the drink and drugs did to his brain gets to him sometimes, hence the excessive emotion and occasional loopiness. I know those 2 behaviors are why I can’t listen to him for very long. Hannity is so repetitive and “dumbed down” on the radio that I switch from him over to Jerry Doyle now that Doyle is available here.

Locally, we have Mancow and Beck and Ingraham against Rush on the various talker stations we have here. I could do without Mancow right off the bat. I’d like to hear Ingraham more, because she kept a fairly high level of debate going on her show the times I’ve listened.
I even occasionally listen to the Fred (and Jeri) Thompson radio show when I’m not at work. They do a good job, except they need to learn to handle callers better. Again, better than listening to Hannity repeat himself again and again, or run “teasers” where he doesn’t get to the topic he’s touting until the last hour of his show. Hannity is AWFUL when it comes to that.
I miss the G. Gordon Liddy show except for his awful voice. He always had interesting guests. I WON’T miss Savage, should he actually go off the air. I still think he’s a false-flag operation of the Left. A while back I was driving through L.A. and Weiner Nation was on 3 or 4 AM stations at the same time, and Weiner was droning about something irrelevant. It was the only talk that was on, and I was stuck in a whopper traffic jam. It was like being condemned to Hades. I ended up just shutting off the radio.

Beck is pushing the Libertarian Party and acts like a little girl most of the time.

However, when he's not crying he seems to come up with some pretty good videos.

These acorn deals arent his they were handed to him.

Thanks. I’ve been on many 9/12 march sites since April. Beck’s 9 values/12 principles in March were inspirational but the date for the DC march was coincidental.....Sept. 12th happened to be the first date a march permit was available.....or so the information I got said.

I don’t mean to lessen Beck’s influence at all. I kept seeing posts thanking Glenn and didn’t know why.

"Beck is pushing the Libertarian Party.."

True. Right now, he's another attractive Pied-Piper like Perot was, and in spite of Rush's warning at the time, many people followed him right over the cliff.

Right now, the "bad-cop" blow-back he's getting from Levin, along with the "good-cop" blow-back he's getting from Rush (re playing with the idea of a third party) are both warnings to him to either help us conservatives take back the Republican Party from the RINOS, or he can expect us to turn the "marginalization" heat up even higher on him.

There are only two VIABLE political parties. The way things are set up by these two parties make it an impossibility for a third party to win due to the electoral college. Beck will eventually see the light, heed the warnings and decide to be a team player, or he will self-destruct and wind up a laughing stock.

OK, so what is Rush?....Levin?....

Are their words or actions negated because we don't know where they are spiritually????

I understand your point about 'character' and 'foundation'-(& I give much credence to those who I identify with spiritually)-

......but it doesn't negate the brilliant exposure that's happening on Beck's watch!

...I have been praying for God's mercy on our nation...

...God can (& has) used all kinds of folks throughout the centuries to accomplish His will....

..these two youngsters, O'Keefe, and Hannah Giles....Good mercy, who would have thought those two could open this huge can of worms and do it so effectively!!

..Pray for Beck...

Pray for his safety, his heart/soul and his family.

He is willing to be used......are you?

Beck is ok for light listening. But he’s just not anywhere near levin or rush for intelligence.

True, but Rush is right that we should take the outrage of the tea parties to the MSM.

Oh, heck, might as well get Barbara Streisand or Pamela Anderson to host a talk show!

So, *I* think you should be ashamed of YOURSELF for suggesting a “self-imposed” single family household as an appropriate place to raise a child, be they third-world or otherwise. So there....now what?

I agree with your assessment. Beck is doing some great things with the exposure of the enemy...but he is a Libertarian. I am a Reagan Conservative...there are differences. I am not sure what the details are about the stealing of lines or ideas out of books or talk shows...but I highly doubt that Levin would be making these accusations on false pretenses.

Levin is good in monologues. Very informative, clear and logical. As a host engaging in conversation - he is a bully, mostly incoherent.

Prager and Medved are the best in letting opponents hang themselves, politely but lethally.

Rush is excellent up to the point of going into his self-aggrandizing shtick. I can see how it can turn off an accidental listener who has not developed an appreciation of him yet. But hey, Rush is #1, so what do I know.

Both Levin and Beck claim to be #3, and I think that is the source of conflict.

To me, the more, the better. I appreciate all of them, as different as they are.

Beck chided us constantly for opposition to amnesty during GWB’s second term. Especially during our big push to defeat it. Its the main reason that I gave up on watching him.

You just proved none of these broadcasters are perfect they all have many flaws. Bottom line its not easy doing three hours a day. I did it for three years and it burned me out. I still do a couple of hours a week but its a different world when you “are the show” for three hours a day.
