Hoffman may not have won, but we are locked and loaded with our sights set on RINOs for 2010.

Listening to Rusty Humphries show — guest talking about the massive vote fraud in New Jersey cities, machine politics, vote buying, massive fraud. Obama won in part because of this but mostly his own charisma. Corzine, even with his money and machine politics, couldn’t pull it off.

Kinda bitchy, you are.

I remember you from last year...

At any rate, I trust you’ll be around to analyze why Upstate NY went for Owens.

My anaylsis of why Upstate NY went for Owens? Okay.

Hoffman was unknown character with no political experience and he wasn’t very charismatic. He also lived outside the district after the recent redraw. Dede Scozzafava, despite all of her flaws to us, was an elected state official that was a known local commodity and had a following. She had been elected and re-elected into the state assembly for 10+ years now. They probably viewed all these national politicians stepping and derailing candadite very negatively. As a result, they harness their bitterness against this intrustion by voting for Owens, who has successfully painted himself as a middle of the road moderate, (and would probably be described as DINO by those at the Daily Kos). A majority of Dede’s voters has decided they could live with Owens rather than reward the people that derailed their local politician.

There’s my analysis.

"I’m a conservative realist who doesn’t sugar coat and hope."

Sure you are.

Tell me some more about the comprehensive wonderfulness of Arlen Specter, Mr. Conservative.

I trust you’ll be around to analyze why Upstate NY went for Owens.

Responding for myself, I can look on the positive side of this -- exposing a total RINO and sending a message to the national party that we won't put up with it.

The down side is that the media and the rats will take up the call that its all Sarah Palin's fault he lost and that she is out of touch with the real voters -- moderates! They are so wrong, wrong, wrong. A conservative candidate running as a Republican is much more likely to win than a RINO or a third party candidate.

We’re losing big time, down 16% with 28.57% of the votes counted. Sigh.

Umm. I said Spector wins in general elections because enough of the voters are ignorant and stupid.

The same reason nearly all incumbents win.

It is not surprising that Owens wins in NY because people there are fearful of conservatives in general and the “C” label specifically. They just know to go with the familiar “R” or “D”. They are not particularly intelligent and would forfeit their freedom for practically nothing.

You’re right, PA people are just like the 23rd District of NY and maybe even less informed.

makes sense. i do think the sense that this was being orchestrated from outside played a big role in a local race.

it’d be interesting to see exit polls and the breakdown by pary and what the vote was today as opposed to those who voted early and absentee. The early votes for Scozzofava may have played a role.

you have to wonder how accurate some of these polls were. In a district like that with 3 candidates and the turns the race took last weekend, the polling was probably useless.

still 45/46 for Hoffman is pretty good, all things considered.

besides, the two wins in NJ and VA are a much bigger deal. this was more about making a statement about the direction of the party and establishing principles and setting the stage going forward.

First I could suppose that his voter base wanted to be like him,
while at the same time hate all others like Corzine, accept Corzine. So I won't suppose.

All Men have evil in their hearts and money is a root for those who
envy others. From those roots grow the dead envy leaves of resentment and lust.

Integrity is lost through lust, envy, and resentment of achievement because
money made from envy cannot make anyone happy.

There's one in every class and in every school who expects to be happy
because they are successful. In place of happiness pretends power.
And even power will not quench their thirst, or money, or children, or faith.
