Twelve people have been killed and 31 wounded in a shooting spree at a Texas military base by what officials believe was possibly carried out by an Army officer.
The suspected gunman was identified by ABC News as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.
The shooter was killed and two other suspects, who are also soldiers, have been apprehended, Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone said.
The gunman used two handguns, Cone said. He wasn't sure if the shooter reloaded the weapons during the attack.

I have a hard time believing this. I'm thinking MSNBC is immensely ignorant of our military and don't know what an "officer" is.
The FBI really should be ashamed of itself.
First they declare American citizens as terrorists if they wave a "Don't Tread on Me" flag at the Tea Party Protests...
...Then they witness several different terrorist attacks at Fort Hood today, and instantly say "it's not terrorism."
What a sad, pathetic joke of a federal organization.

Depends. The problem is, nowadays, when the talking-head types use the word “terrorist,” they put the image of some Osama-like mastermind out there...one of these Arab Muslim bastards that spends five years carefully perfecting an intricate plan like 9/11 or any number of aircraft bombings (Pan Am 103, etc.) and pulls them off. But there’s any number of homegrown Muslims here in the States that want to be big bad jihadis but can’t find their butts with two hands and a GPS. These minor-league Zarqawis probably can’t get a hold of explosives, but they could save up their stimulus checks and get a black-market weapon or two and some fatigues from the local military surplus store.
That’s why the MSM or the Feds coming out with “oh, we don’t think this is terrorist activity” is so ludicrous. Maybe it’s not *al-Qaeda* terrorist activity, but if some bedroom mujahadeen from Dallas decide they’re going to go shoot up Fort Hood in the name of their false moon god, it’s still Islamic terrorism even if some “mastermind” in a cave six thousand miles away isn’t pulling their strings.

Do they mean, "something on the shoulder" Officer, or maybe "Military Police Officer," which would probably mean enlisted. An MP could carry a weapon anywhere on base -- it makes the most sense.

Someone suspects A/C units may have been poisoned on base.
This call is SOP in a suspected terrorist attack.
This does not confirm a terrorist attack, it only confirms that someone at FT Hood is going to protect his troops in case it is.

Commander says 12 dead. One shooter dead confirmed as a soldier and two other soldiers (suspects at this time) are in custody.
