Free Republic does not and will not support RINOS!! Not now!! Not ever!!
My day after Thanksgiving message | 11/26/200 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 11/26/2009 9:55:25 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!

No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!

We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!

We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!

No more socialism!!

Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!

Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!

And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!

Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!

The strategy is we win, they lose.

Any questions?

how do you know Tiger doesn’t know me?

Tiger has an astounding memory. He would remember you if the two of you had ever met.

Actually, if it hadn’t been for the 6K + votes RINO Scozzafava got, Hoffman would have run. The election was certified with him just 3K + votes behind the Democrat. Hoffman is a conservative, but he ran on the Independent ticket because the GOP dorks decided to run Scozzafava instead. That’s what this Republican over everyone got them in New York, and it’s what it will get us nationwide. It’s dumb, it’s stupid and it’s what will keep Democrats in power. And I’m beginning to believe it’s exactly what Cedric, Conservativegreatgrandma and others on this forum who favor Republican only votes want.

Correction, it's what you want to believe because it makes it easier for you to discredit the above. I'm certainly in that camp as I refuse to vote 3rd party. Make no mistakes, it's not because I want to see a democrat in office, but because I believe that 3rd parties are spoilers.

I wish that we could mount a letter campaign the size of the tea parties, putting the RNC and Steele on notice that we will stay home on election day and keep our contributions in our pockets unless they field and back reliable Conservatives instead of the likes of Scozzafava, McCain, Snowe, the turncoat Specter etc. I really feel we need to serve notice and tell them that we are serious.

The Republican party wonders why conservatives are so disappointed with it?

Another glowing example of the problems confronting the Republican party occurred yesterday. The Senate Republicans had the opportunity to force a full reading of the Senate’s proposed health care bill so that every bit of the 2,200 pages would be made public by the reading, and so the people could become much better informed about its contents before it is passed...if it is passed. It had the opportunity to really hold the Democrats’ feet to the fire over this abominable excuse for legislation that is being crammed down the throats of a majority of Americans who want no part of it. if nothing else, this delaying tactic would’ve served to cause more focus on those who were about to vote “Yes” to move this bill from Committee.

The Republicans decided that they wanted to go home for the Thanksgiving recess of the Senate more than they wanted to fulfill their obligations to those who elected them to serve in the Senate. Pure and simple! They ignored the Senate rules that could’ve been brought to bear on behalf of the citizens they represent. They threw in the towel rather than spend a week-end in Washington, D.C. fighting the good fight. They, being in the minority, threw in the towel over something that would’ve let them at least assert their rights as a minority. They could’ve tried to change just one Democrat or Independent mind and thus prevent the bill from even being debated. Had it not been debated, the entire health care reform effort would’ve been shut down.

Conservatives are rightly angered by this latest slap in the face from the party that is supposedly keeping its eye on the majority. Michael Steele makes noises as if he is conservative but he fails to influence the party leaders in the grand old “club” we call the Senate to stay and fight for the principles important to conservatives. The leaders of the Senate Republicans like to make believe they’re conservative, but their actions seem to decry that.

Tea Party react: Conservatives seek litmus test for RNC funding
Washington Times ^ | 11/24/2009 | Ralph Z. Hallow

Posted on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 9:59:09 AM by markomalley

Eager to ensure that “tea partiers” don’t undermine GOP candidates, conservative members of the Republican National Committee are pursuing the creation of a rule that would bar the Republican Party from funding candidates who fail a conservative litmus test.

The group is circulating a petition among committee members that would enshrine former President Ronald Reagan’s proposition that his 80 percent friend was not his 20 percent enemy. The rule would require Republican candidates to share at least 80 percent of the party’s main tenets to be eligible for party aid.

Just get rid of anyone who dares to disagree with you? How very soviet of you. The sad thing is that you honestly believe that’s the conservative position. Words fail.

http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/11/bye_bye_rino.html

The conservatives are winning — but the RINOs are not being gracious in defeat. Now the RINOs are showing how much party unity means to them. They have no loyalty to conservatives, so why should conservatives have any loyalty to them?

The latest showdown came when ultra-liberal State Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava became the Republican candidate in NY-23. ACORN’s racketeering arm, also known as the Working Families Party, backed her. Yet the Republican old guard also backed this useful idiot. Newt Gingrich backed this tool. The name “Republican” was all that mattered to them. Not principle.

But Sarah Palin, a true conservative, instead endorsed Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman. And so did other conservatives. Governor of Texas Rick Perry said, “Electing Doug Hoffman will send a clear message that cannot be denied: conservatives must stand on principle.” Oklahoma gubernatorial candidate Mary Fallin said that Hoffman had “reminded Americans everywhere that principles come before party affiliation.” Kansas senatorial candidate Todd Tiahrt explained the choice: “The Republican Party is either going to return to the party of fiscal responsibility and consistent conservative principles as it was under Ronald Reagan, or it will continue down the path of ‘sporadic moderation.’”

I’m not particularly worried about it, since I’m not getting personal with anyone. You could learn by that example. From where I sit you’re being condescending and snide while decrying those you’re disagreeing with for doing the same thing. I know that most of the folks who’re calling for purges et al, are doing so out of frustration, and not malice.
