Free Republic does not and will not support RINOS!! Not now!! Not ever!!
My day after Thanksgiving message | 11/26/200 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 11/26/2009 9:55:25 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!

No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!

We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!

We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!

No more socialism!!

Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!

Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!

And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!

Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!

The strategy is we win, they lose.

Any questions?

With all due respect, Jim Robinson is making a mistake here. There are soooo many people lurking on this site who are not conservatives. They are RINOs, they are newbies, they are even Democrats who are curious.

You seem to miss the most obvious point. Free Republic is for CONSERVATIVES. This is not some sort of "big tent" or a "debating society".

Why do you want us to be just like WAnkerville?

I think the best barometer of who she is is the fact that she terrifies the WH. She is a private citizen now and lost an election but SHE is framing the debate. As a citizen, she posts on Facebook and the WH answers her! LOL

Some people just don't use the brains God gave them. :-)

Ronald Reagan took NY both in 80 and 84. When you only see the glass as being half empty, maybe it's time to get a smaller glass.

Big words on the surface that will give some people mental orgasm but nevertheless these words are totally detached from today reality. The New York electorate who elected Reagan in 1980 and 1984 is totally different now.

Go back and look at the bugzapper thread, many of the very worst FRiberals had been here since almost the very beginning.

I found that kinda scary. And we still have a few that are floating around here that didn't get the hook.

In our continuing fight for freedom, for America and our constitution and against totalitarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc., Free Republic stands firmly on the side of right, i.e., the conservative side.

It is totalitarianism, not conservatism which is associated with purges and "a one way ticket elsewhere".

Wrong, wrong, wrong.

I've read every post in this thread so far and you represent a singular MINORITY. You might argue that might and right are two entities and that one isn't justified by the other. To that I will point out that what's coming is an issue of force and right will have very little (if anything) to do with the outcome.

Go back through Jim's postings and notice that Jim has an established pattern of saying little, but then posting things that are well paying attention to. He tends to speak for a large number of people when he does write something such as the topic of this thread. For Jim to express his opinions (as we all do here) doesn't mean that the entire movement is shouting "go to hell" to the RINOs. In fact, the majority aren't saying anything. But the attitudes are there, the momentum is there, and the determination is there. Nobody from the large group that Jim represents is in a mood to negotiate, reach across the isle, or have anything to do with those considered enemies of conservatism. We're FINISHED with those best of the worst GOP picks which have been mentioned throughout this thread. This should be clear from what Jim wrote even though amazingly, some people here are still having trouble comprehending it.

However, Jim's attitude speaks for a multitude of usually very quiet people.

It was not wrong. Collaborating with our political enemies and fearful masses subscribing to RINO-ism has brought us to this point, and they need to now know that we think they can go to hell and we're not willing to waste any more time on them.

The definition of insanity is doing the same things, yet expecting a different result, which of course never occurs. Too many people have decided they're simply not doing this anymore. It produces NO results.

Challenge Jim to his method and then run your campaign here based on "Reaching out to RINOs and RINO Supporters". Jim has already established that his campaign is to simply tell them to "go to hell" and work toward propelling true conservatives into positions of leadership. Judging from the content of this thread, I'm going to say that almost nobody is going to agree with you.

Not only is Jim's logic sound, but as I've already mentioned, this isn't an issue of right, but rather of might, borne of exasperation from the truths which we've lived with from the time just prior to GWB leaving office, up until now.

This is a privately owned website for grassroots conservatism. If you don't like that, start your own site.

What would Giuliani do if he is elected Senator from New York? Would he vote for socialized medicine No. Would he vote for tax increase? No. Would he be vastly better than Schumer and the other democrat Senate from New York? Yes.

When it comes to liberal states such as New York we have to accept the reality that you cannot get elected the same type of conservative that are elected in conservative states. Those are just facts.

Saying that I’m disruptive, though, is foolish. No one is forced to fight. Just skim the posts I write or ignore me altogether.

I don't know if personalizing this debate is useful for you or not. I'm trying to discuss and defend Jim's position with which I agree. Maybe it didn't appear that way. I *do* skip threads I don't agree with and seldom fight tooth-and-nail for any one point because usually I don't have to here on FR.

But if there is a movement - or a debate about a movement - away from keeping this a Conservative (NOT Republican) site then I am going to argue fiercely for JimRob's vision.

I'm *not* here to convert anybody. There are other better and more appropriate venues for that. I am here to talk to OTHER CONSERVATIVES and discuss how to further advance COMMON GOALS (and post silly pictures at times, too ;0)

I'll post elsewhere if I feel politically evangelistic, which I seldom do. I like strategizing victory with fellow warriors and not converting the ignorant or disinterested. I do that enough already.

>>>>>I advocate Reaganesque optimism, City on a Hill, and all that.

Oh really? Reagan was the eternal optimist, but he was also a realist. Reagan did a lot of politicking for votes and he did compromise on some issues, but he never surrendered his principles, his core values and beliefs.

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers."

"I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way."

Reagan CPAC Speech, Let Them Go Their Way, March 1, 1975.

Absolutely, Captain Jim! We’re with ya!

We need to make the U.S. Constitution our litmus test for RINO Disease.

We’ve got a U.S. Senate primary (damn that 17th) in Massachusetts soon. (Of course, we’re only seeing TV ads for Dems, but this is Massachusetts, after all!)

ALL of the promises made by ALL the candidates are unconstitutional! More jobs, tighter regulations, health care reform, green crap ... you name it.

In fact, NONE of the candidates has even mentioned the Constitution. Sad!

Mr Robinson? Did you know you're a totalitarian?

So Cedric, what do you hope to accomplish by poking the site owner?. I will tell you again, this is a privately owned site for Conservatives. It is NOT a Republican site.

He would be nearly as bad and destroying the conservative movement rather than getting the country back on track. I wish I didnt vote for him because it involved setting aside important principles. Rather than aquiescing to the lesser of two evils I choose to use my vote to define what I believe in rather than who I don’t. My vote will either elect a conservative or burn the Rino tent to the ground since I refuse to be a pole that props them up to further screw us over.

Yes it is. You are obviously a dyed-in-the-wool Republican, on a private, Conservative site, complaining that Conservatives won't worship everyone with an "R" behind their name. Talk about major disconnect!
