Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
12/11/2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 12/11/2009 5:57:16 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

Findings from many different areas of science are interconnected and consistent with each other, and the theory of evolution comes as part of the whole package. Moreover, on the basis of this package we developed technology, and we can see that it works. This supports MY opinion.

LOL! Sounds like another 'climate gate' scandal. Scientist and their 'proof'.

The ‘climate scientists’ perverted science in exactly the same way as the ‘creation scientists’ do - any means ‘proving’ the pre-approved conclusion are justified.

If you guys are talking about Fred Phelps, then you mean a family group of democrat lawyers that number about 70 or 80 and you know that you are lying to smear a Christian conservative here on FR with being “like Phelps”. As a lawyer, you can do better than make such a ridiculous comparison.

As far as GGG you hate him enough to disparage him to strangers here on FR on unrelated threads and leave them not knowing what you are posting about, or even who you were posting about.

Evidently management disagrees with your view of his threads and JR is representative of the great majority of people here at his site from what I have seen over the years.

As a fellow Freeper, I stand by your fundamental viewpoints, Jim, which indeed parallel mine.

And some don’t realize its the same religion

EXACTLY!! God's masterful design being attacked by 'science' via global warming and evolution! Mother Earth being their god.

Rachel Scott was the young lady shot because she was a Christian. I have met her father and heard his heartbreaking story. My husband worked to bring him into some of the local schools to share his story with the students. There was also a young man who was shot and survived who told his story as well, I can’t recall his name this was several years ago.

I say this with the most sincerity words can have. I admire you sir, and consider it an honor to post on these forums. This place and your words are what America really is. The mainstream news media tries everyday to make sure people are never reminded of this fact.

FR is not “fringe”.

We are getting to be less fringe by the day. Soon we will be the whole bedspread!

It wasn't just rejected ~ genetics was discovered.

According to sources Darwin and Lamarck had pretty much the same idea ~ that acquired characteristics created teeny-tiny particles of inheritance that gathered in the testes, etc.

For a variety of reasons these geniuses had failed to observe that INFORMATION in this universe is carried by quanta.

More recently Lamarck's viewpoint has been partly vindicated by the discovery of exogenous DNA ~ see the study of EPIGENETICS to figure out what that's all about (besides a potential cure for homosexuality).

In Darwin's time folks still weren't sure of the "germ theory of disease" and were thrashing about figuring out how parents passed on characteristics to their children. Most of their ideas were wrong.

Darwin's other big idea was that something called "natural selection" served to change species in very small steps over very long periods of time. He had no idea that a single bacteria in the Amazon probably contributes to most speciation in the world simply by infecting bugs and changing the shapes of their reproductive organs (but I'm sure if he had he'd probably gotten arrested for doing the research).

Funny, I haven’t seen alright falsified creation science in any school textbooks recently. I have however seen falsified evolutionary “evidence” in them (peppered moths, Haekels embryos).

Jim, I have to disagree, we are not fringe right-wing or fundamentalist.

We are conservative common sense constitutionalists.

Umm, you obviously didn’t read my reply thoroughly or simply didn’t comprehend what was said. Anyway, it is apparent that you are on a different page than I am so let’s not quibble any further.

Have a Merry Christmas.

I read GR's post and wondered why the angst - since any half wit knows, if you don't want to read a thread, you don't click it on.

I think Jim should make being an 'adult' a prerequisite - nothing to do w/age. These baby@** whiners are above and beyond any conservatives' thresh hold level, IMO.

Just reminding everybody that Fred Phelps was an Algore delegate at a Democrat Presidential Nominating Convention.

He is not a fitting topic for discussion in FR (unless somebody shoots him or something).

I am on the same page as my original post to you.

Nothing justifies your attacking Christians here with the Phelps smear.
I don’t know much about all this evo/creation argument, but I do know that you hate GodGunsGuts. I barely know who the poster is and I sure did not know what you meant when out of the blue you posted to me about a poster called GGG on a totally unrelated thread in a post with no context, it left me baffled until today.

As a “moderate libertarian,” I present the Libertarian platform, without commentary.

So that's how Bill Clinton got bent.

Yes Phelps has been a democrat official and a several times democrat candidate for office, and the family are lawyers just like GolfingRam.
