Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

Thank you but that was not the question it have been united on another form that if you were baptized in a Protestant or Catholic Church and changed for another faith you need not be baptized again for it was universally recognized among those denominations!

As I witness your various encounters and strong denunciation that does not seem to be the case!

Einstein was a postal clerk.

No, Einstein was a patent examiner (because he couldn't get a teaching job).

Education can be stifling but it does come in handy sometimes.

Resty, we are not in the same boat, much less on the same planet. I'm not going to debate your deflections are promotions. Mormons teach that there is more than one god. 'Nuff said! That's just a bit from the Truth found in my Scriptures. It's no different than any other cult. It wishes to change the creation into the creator. This is certainly the wrong thread for that. Christ is alive and well in my soul. YMMV.

Don't bother to write back, it will be ignored. If you do, I won't read it. You and the RC's are building funeral pires. I'm not jumping into that one...

Einstein started out as an amateur, but he was by no means uneducated. Very few people succeed in science with no background in science whatsoever.

The Holy Spirit chooses to work through many different kinds of people, however, to be able to write convincingly about the intersection of science and theology, the Holy Spirit moves credible people who are willing to undertake the years of work to actually understand what it is they’re writing about. Otherwise, it would be a waste of time, and the Holy Spirit doesn’t waste time.

"“Education” can also stifle thought and creativity, we’ve certainly seen that in the history of religion and science."

So would you consider open heart surgery performed by an auto mechanic or fly in an aircraft designed and built by high school drop outs?

For the record, Albert Einstein was never a postal clerk. Following graduation with a degree in physics and mathematics Einstein worked for the Swiss Federal Office for Intellectual Property, the patent office, as an assistant examiner. He evaluated patent applications for electromagnetic devices.

"You and the RC's are building funeral pires."

FYI - Its "pyre" not "pire", from the Latin pyra and the Greek pyr, both meaning fire.

is that G-d uses the leadership to constantly change and evolve doctrines over time so that what is believed today may be very different from what was believed in the ancient past.

Exactly. In direct opposition to who God is and what He says. I am that I am. I am the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Truth does NOT change, it cannot change; otherwise it is not Truth. Only God is Truth. Man changes 'their' doctrine at their own will, God's doctrine of Truth never changes. To lay claim their changes are God inspired is wicked - when He specifically says - I NEVER CHANGE. We ask God to change us to conform to His Word. We are to renew our mind.

Some instead decide to change the Truth of God's Word to conform to their liking and to what their natural mind can understand. Any notion that God used or needed anything - other than HIS spoken Word - to create HIS completed universe, is blasphemy. They refuse to acknowledge the ALMIGHTY for his GREATNESS. And from the beginning of time, that is what satan has/is doing.

Einstein was born a mathematical genius, a gift from God, if you will. He didn't need an education to think. Nor does anyone else. Also we don't need "educated" people to tell us what to think. Maybe you do.

The HS works with whomever He chooses to, it's got nothing to do with "years of work". Show mw some biblical authority for that one

Think about that the next time you open your "new testament."

Did the guy who invented the wheel go to automotive design school? How about the guy (or woman!) who figured out fire? What about the bow and arrow, the atlatl, the boomerang? Did they attend the Stone Age West Point Academy? Necessity is the mother of invention, not education or what passes for it

Patent clerk, my bad

Not only that, Einstein was home schooled in religion of all things -- in Judaism.

God’s plan of salvation was fulfilled in the New Testament and it was spoken about in the Old. I don’t see the old and new as separate, but as a continuation - and each one explaining the other. Jesus quoted Isaiah to John the Baptist when he questioned ‘are you the One’. It’s ONE Word. Don’t need a reminder of Who my God IS nor what my Jesus has done for me and everyone!

"Necessity is the mother of invention, not education or what passes for it."

No doubt that as Thomas Edison said genius is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration, but science is a gradual process in which innovation is integrating and refining the works of those who came before. As Isaac Newton said; Scientific advancement is "standing on the shoulders of giants".

So, again, would you consider open heart surgery performed by an auto mechanic or fly in an aircraft designed and built by high school drop outs?

Exactly. Someone that is puffed up w/pride is unusable! And it's one reason he uses the most unlikely - so all the praise, honor and glory can go to HIM! After all, it's NOT about us but about HIM.

And he went to his grave believing that if he solved the unified field theory, he would have greater insight into the mind of God.

No need to argue. I was just noting what is (to me) the irony. Of course you believe that the Hebrew Bible and the "new testament" form a single revelation or you wouldn't be a chr*stian. But just as you are compelled to witness for your faith, I am compelled to point out that chr*stianity's claim that the "new testament" authoritatively interprets and "fulfills" the "old" is not self-evidently true.

No offense intended.

Deny it all you want to, but "modern science" is a system and a racket, no creative thought processes required. To get somewhere in the good old boy network, you will toe the line. Good examples are global warming , evolution, and the fight that Australian gastroenterologists Robin Warren and Barry Marshall endured with conventional science over helicobacter pylori bacteria and Peptic Ulcer Disease

would you consider open heart surgery performed by an auto mechanic or fly in an aircraft designed and built by high school drop outs

I wouldn't but Obama does and will be giving it to us

Yes we recognized the Heaven Father, His Only begotten Son, and the Holy Spirit (make-count-total) 3 personages not one!

Yes, no reason not to believe such things as mathematics, music, all things beautiful, are the mind of God
