A Muslim spokesman was interviewed on Fox this AM. When asked if he thought that full-body scanners at airports would improve security, he replied that Muslims would never stand for them because they would show the bodies of Muslim women. The interviewer let that pass without any protest.
Anyone who doesn’t wish to undergo a body scan may decline, for whatever reason. They will then go directly to a secondary screen and receive a body search together with an explosives residue exam. Full body cavity searches may be in order. Have a nice day.
These Muslim objections are complete nonsense. These machines are in use in Iraq and Afghanistan for screening Local Nationals wishing to go into high security areas. Most of them have jobs in these areas. No scan, no job. They all gladly undergo the screen. Our enemies know exactly how to push the buttons of political correctness priestesses like Janet Napolitano.
Actually, there are. But, it doesn't matter, they try/blow up their planes too.

So the guy is afraid that if we scan him, we’ll learn his dirty little secret? That he’s a woman? Or just that he has a very small penis?
The US government can create a project order to Disney Imagineering for some special effects scanning equipment that in very big warning labels proclaims that any explosive device or material detected will initiate a molecular disintegration ray.
Let these low tech sandbunnies figure out if its real.
Try this sometime: Take a picture of whatever it is you want to paint or draw. Print it out and turn it upside down on a stand in front of you, then draw/paint it on you pad or canvas. You’ll probably discover that your “copy” of the picture will be extremely detailed as opposed to if you had drawn it in the normal perspective.............
Well, these machines are still in their infancy. I'm sure with some, uh, technological "improvements" over the years they will get more "detailed"........;^)
Until they fly over here and kill us.

Turning your painting up side down and looking at it is a technique for discovering what is wrong with it. I don’t do that because I can tell what is not correct by looking away from my painting and then glancing back at it from a distance of maybe 15 feet. Mistakes in the drawing, the design or the values will jump out at me.
In keeping with the general sentiment for them to either get their own airline or don’t fly....Airline companies are private businesses. As such they are free to establish their own policies. Although it might be a risky PR move and they may lose a few markets in the process, what if say, Delta/Northwest announced that because of the latest attempt on their private propert and for the safety of the rest of their customers AND although they realize that while all Muslims are not terrorists all terrorists are Muslim, that no Muslims will be allowed to fly their airline?
Are there laws prohibiting companies from doing this for the safety of the rest of the flying public? If so, if the laws are challenged in the U.S.

You know I agree with you 100%, but, they will keep flying and they will get a pass on the scanners.
They will scream "due to my religious beliefs..." and they will get a pass while everyone else gets scanned.

Bad solution, there will be fleets of planes available for ramming into western targets.
The solution is to install boxes at every airport with explicit warnings that every intimate detail will be visible, whether you actually have a functioning machine there or not. Keep them off the airlines and the problem is solved.
You overestimate your countrymen. They're standing for them right now. Good for the muslims, say I.
Ewww. Look around the airport sometime. Would you want to see 99.99% of those people naked?
