HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.
Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.
He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.

You are right. They will probably keep him over night just to be sure, but it could be nothing serious (hopefully).

Total BS. My husband worked at Queen's for awhile. They're the top cardiac hospital in the state. Their goal is to have a patient with a suspected MI in the cath lab within an hour. Survival rates are huge. Lingle would never have gotten elected if everybody hated Rush.
There are a lot of conservatives here, and I have never encountered "hatred" from anyone here - we ran into more of that sort of thing in Texas than we have here. We're very conservative, quite vocal about it, retired military, and haole.

One can only imagine the tremendous stress he has day after day.
When you are at his level you run the risk of trying to cover too many bases and pushing yourself too hard too many times,especially since no on else can really help you since Rush is the source.
In addition, how many times have we listened to him say he was operating on 2,3,4 hours sleep. Not good at his age with his history.
This ticks me off. You know what we do have a problem I cant even talk to a Dem or Liberal anymore without thinking they just suck and this is why. We are a divided country. Im just glad Im on the side of God, Guns and Country.
It is odd. Of all the places to be. Obama I can understand, what with Hawaii being his *cough* home state and all.

I would think that no news is bad news if he were stable they would have made sure that news got out.
To me this is very suspicious I dont buy a heart attack ...

Rush says he’s not going anywhere until everyone agrees with him - so he can’t be going anywhere yet....
I just had a thought...Remember in the 1980s..I think the diet company was Nutrasystem..it promoted quick wt loss and it delivered. I also remember an incident where a customer in a shop in which I worked had not been in for some time..When she finally did come in one day in the course of conversations with her, her wt loss was noticed and admired. She told us what plan she used and then said she had been taken to the hospital. She got seriously ill and had to have her gallbladder removed. She said the wt loss was too much too fast and that her gallbladder could not keep up with the processing ( however that works with regard to the elimination of fats) and that she had a very serious gallbaldder problem and thought she was going to die the pain was so severe. So before we all go whacky, what is going on may not be a heart attack or something that requires a bypass..could be the gallbladder..anyway. as hard as it is to have to wait to hear how our hero is doing, all we can do from here is pray for his recovery.
As an aside, I do wish he would quit the cigars. My dad smoked those ol stogies and he ended up with oral cancer. He had surgery, ended up with a broken jaw, and after a long and hard recovery he was ok and not too much facial damage but normally oral cancer is quite disfiguring.
I read a few and they were really mean.
