Ranch Hand "Summit" bumper replacement-deer guard for my Chevy crew Cab 4X4 (Video)

On the lighter side, and for those interested in outfitting their vehicle (particularly pickup trucks) with the necessary implements to address global warming and climate change, I offer the following video:

YOUTUBE VIDEO: Ranch Hand "Summit" front bumper replacement-deer guard

Ranch Hand pickup truck accessories are made in Texas. So, while we are down here, GAil (aka the boss) gave me permission, purely as a cost saving measure you understand, to purchase a couple of long desired accessories for the truck.

I didn't have to be told twice...hehehe.

Here are some more pictures.

Installation...I'd love to have helped, but with my current health condition, that's not me.

We bought a Yukon Denali last fall. Have to get the front protected as there are White Tails all over the place here. We see them crumpled beside the road daily. They aren’t as big a Mule Deer, Wapiti, or Moose but they still make a sizable dent in the investment.

I don’t worry about deer on the highway. They only go after NEW vehicles! ;^)

Good accessories. I hit a whitetail a few years ago, and it cost much more than the front guard would have cost.

Excellent choice! Ranch Hand may not be the best, but they’re darn close. BTW, did you notice we made a deal with The Boss to re-arrange the weather around here a little to make you feel more at home??? 13° on my front porch this morning.

That’s a 2005 GM product...before their decent into pure D socialism. The off road package is better, the vehicle to this day holds its value better. But, the FORD and Dodge priducts were also good then and are today. If I were buying today I’d probably go Ford on principle alone.

I noticed the star and turned it around that day. The color is a dark charcoal...and it is one comfortable ride, and does one heck of a job off road.

Also...if you hit an Elk up here at 60 MOH with a F-350 without a guard, you would wish you had had one. No one I know ever plans to do so...stuff like that, whether it is a deer, an elk, or someone’s livesstock happens accidentally all the time and, IMHO, the guard is well worth the investment for that reason.

Not really feeling much better yet. Treatment does not even get started until next week...but you find whatever activities you can to take your mind off of it, and this was an opportunity while here in Texas that we decided to take advantage of.

Moose and buffalo, probably not. But depending on the speed, they can help against Elk. I had aan F-350 while in Montana severala years ago with one of these that was spared major damage from an Elk hit.

Ranch Hand products are very good and I would recommend them. They have several different guards, both bumper replacement models and hook around models. Also several headache racks and several railings to support them and their tool boxes, altough I opted for a “Trail Boss” box instead of the Ranch Hand. The RH is much better, but I was running out of budget and that was where I was willing to give.
