Julian Assange is wanted by Swedish police on probable grounds suspected of rape. Two women 20 and 30 years old contacted the police on Friday.
I find Assange more than slimey, this is terribly convenient, perhaps too much so.
Eh, let the investigation run where ever it leads, if he is guilty than by all means he should be incarcerated.

I just heard that on Fox News radio too. They said the Prosecutor has withdrawn the charges, saying he sees no reason to suspect that Assange has committed rape. This whole thing is verra verra strange.

Hopefully the Vatican nailed his ass to the wall in retribution.

It’s possible that there may still be a less serious charge of molestation in the works.
The chief prosecutor has withdrawn the warrant, however, investiation into the lesser charge(s) of molestation continues.
My take on this - for whatever it is worth: Probably a case of “culture clash”. Assange is fêted like a superstar in certain quarters. No lack of adoring females. Like many foreigners he has misunderstood the sexual mores of Swedish females, who are not always as “liberated” as they are reputed to be.
In short he may have behaved lika a cad, but no rape.
DOD/CIA major fail. Come on guys at least make it believable.

Actually one of the women involved was interviewed in Expressen. Confirms pretty much what I wrote above. (”A man with a deranged view of women and a problem to understand “no”.)

PS: Note that the second article seems to be a rewrite of the first one. The sentence "It started out as consensual sex...." does not appear to be a direct quote, and "sex" could just as well mean "petting" as an intercourse, You know, it is a question of how you define "is". :)
