A Florida pastor's plans to burn Korans to mark the anniversary of 9/11 this week could endanger the lives of U.S. troops, warns U.S. ArmyGen. David H. Petraeus, commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan.

Gen. Petraeus said he is "very concerned" about possible repercussions of the pastor's actions.

Petraeus spends too much time sucking up. The ROE’s need to be changed to accommodate a lot more of the Afghans who need to meet Allah up close.

Petraeus is just telling the truth. It may feel good to poke Muslims in the eye by burning their “sacred” documents, but I don’t see how doing so does us any good.

And if such an act harms our soldiers, it should not be done.

Petraeus is an honorable and honest man who is looking out for the troops.

Perhaps if more of US knew what was allowed in their “holy” book we would be more pissed off over the way islam is being accepted here.

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, The Supreme Leader of Iran, 1979-89, was attracted to the 4 year old daughter of a family he was visiting and asked the father if he could have her for a ‘temporary’ marriage. The father agreed, happily.

The Ayatollah spent the night with the little girl, who was heard screaming and crying all night long. When asked about it the next day, he said,”there was no penetration, just grabbing, kissing, and thighing. ”Thighing” means masterbating between the legs of a female infant or actually sodomizing her. Thighing” is an Islamic practice still followed today even in Muslim communities in the U.S. and Britain.

"If muslims burned Bibles....."

Bibles are banned in most muslim countries. Just what do you think they do to them when they find one?

Interesting why Obama hasn't weighed-in yet on the issue...........3, 2, 1.......

I fully respect Gen Petraeus's commentary and that church should listen to the General.

Arrest whoever was carrying it. I don’t give a crap what muslims think of us. They are the enemy. The only good enemy is a dead one. And I am sick of CNN cowering to the lousy muslims. I want an all-out war against islam.

Now the idiot on CNN is praising Bloomberg’s support of the GZM but no mention of his financial interests. I hate liberals - they are such liars, just like muslims.

I agree with you to some point, but think we need to look back as to what has worked in the past in this regard ...
'At Lepanto, the Victory over the Moslems was won by the faithful praying the Rosary. Even though they had superior numbers, the Turks really were overmatched. Blessed Padre Pio, the Spiritual Father of the Blue Army, said: 'The Rosary is the weapon,' and how right he was! The Battle of Lepanto was at first celebrated liturgically as 'Our Lady of Victory.' Later, the feast of October 7th was renamed 'Our Lady of the Rosary' ... Link.

These nutballs should burn it at the site of the proposed Ground Zero mosque to give lefties the maximum cognitive dissonance. Both are legal but wrong, which lefties will never admit. It would be great fun asking them how burning a Koran at the proposed Ground Zero mosque site is wrong but the mosque isn’t.

Not just here, but everywhere in the world we are engaged with the Islamic community," Gen. Petraeus said in a statement.

So, really, Petraeus is speaking politically. The expansion of his response shows that he's making an all-encompassing statement about the Islamic Cultocracy.

Don't anger them or they hurt someone. Better go hide.

Why not just give up? Sheeesh.......

The Left was saying that our mere presence in the Middle east was making Muslims angry at us, yet Gen. Petraeus is still there.

Don't expect him to speak out politically against the Obama Messiah though.
