“Gen. David H. Petraeus is just another mindless slave on mac daddies plantation.”

Did`nt take long for the right to go from calling him a hero to calling him a dirt bag. The left always considered him a dirt bag. Now the right does, also. Wonderful.

OTOH it could be a win win.

If the pastor is attacked it could cement opinion against Islam.
(and I think an attack will happen)

And if nothing happens it might bring the timid out of the closet.

Let’s face it, all this a$$ kissing of Islam is to prevent reprisals.

Burning the Koran helps no one and nothing.

Exactly, though I'm sure the MSM and the dems appreciate the opportunity to paint the right as being book-burning loons, just in time for the election.

Burning Korans isn't how Americans usually behave, but some seem to think "Well THEY're mean to US!" is some justification for behaving the way the barbarians do.

Jones can burn as many korans as he wants to. But this isn`t (for him) about burning korans. For him, it`s a huge publicity stunt. Nothing more. And he does`nt care if our troops are killed as a direct result of it. He has a tiny congregation. What better way to garner attention for himself than to do something like this? It`s all about him. He`s learned from the Phelps clan that stupid acts get lots of publicity.

What Jones does or even his motivation is not the issue or the problem. The issue and problem at hand is we have Politically Correct Military Leadership fighting a war on the enemies terms. The military can not operate under such. Read the article I linked for you. Notice when Political Correctness actually began and was brought into the USA.

The Field Commanders and Generals of WW2 were not P.C. but while WW2 was being fought in the Pacific and in Europe the Marxist were taking over our colleges and universities including ROTC and even up to and including the War College itself. The old school leaders were put out to pasture before or during the Korean War when more limited R.O.E.'s came to play in the name of sensitivity. The newer officers had been through colleges where Marxism had taken hiold and it worked it's way into the Pentagon.

The Generals job is not to be an ambassador nor a diplomat. His job should be to create a military battle plan for an absolute military victory expedited as quickly as possible and hopefully with minimal loss of his men. His job is not to try to make peace with the enemy but rather to either eliminate the enemy in battle to the point of unconditional surrender or to break their will to fight. He is to accomplish such by whatever means are aviable.

Political Correctness and the current policies of appeasement of Islam and Islamic leadership will get far more of our troops killed in battle than any books any preacher can burn even on national TV.

As a troop on ground in “harms way”, I find great support in that koran burn stuff. I can’t wait for them to attack us so we can kill more of them. These games we are playing of delaying the obvious are far more dangerous than bursting or letting the islam kist grow and rot us to gangrene.

Gen. Petraeus should remember that he is STILL a member of the military and keep his mouth shut.

It has been declared “acceptable” by the courts in the US to burn our US Flag and the Christian Bible. It has been deemed “acceptable” to place items of significance to Christians in urine or feces and call it “Art”. All in the name of the First Amendment. This therefore also becomes a First Amendment issue.

To have a sitting General make public comment on this is insulting at best. If he were of a lesser rank, the LEAST he should expect would be a severe reprimand. Petraeus would do well to remember that his rank, “General”, is still significantly lower than the rank of Civilian in our country. That is how our system of government and our military is set up and that is the way it has to work.

While I can respect his military prowness, his public statement on this matter has lessened him as a man and as an officer in my opinion.

Patreus is utterly wrong for criticizing what a US citizen does on US turf. I’d cancel his ticket if I was the Commander in Chief.

Yes, yes, ...I understand now what we must do.

When Islamic terrorists bomb public places in locations they perceive as Christian, we must excuse them and then allow them to represent their actions as military victories when they proceed to build mosques in those very locations where American citizens were slaughtered.

If there is any opposition to their advance, it will be met with appeals to respect of their rights of free speech and freedom of their religion, albeit foreign to the protocols to worship God, upon which the separation of Church and State had historically presumed.

Meanwhile, if other Americans use the very same freedoms advocated by the adversaries as justifying their liberty to perform such actions, we must instead restrain ourselves from any such actions as it might be perceived as foreign to the intent of our adversaries.

Now that we leave their homelands, where those who aided and abetted the same cultic ideologies, which fomented the unprovoked attack upon innocent civilians in America, we are to unilaterally invoke Sharia law within our own borders in addition to removing our military forces from their homelands. /s

Petraeus manifests numerous faults, if these reports are true.

1) There is only one God.

He has provided for all mankind, and when that provision is rejected, those who reject Him, have already chosen the side of their allegiance.

Petraeus has no love for God. He rejects Christ and everything Christ performed on the Cross.

He fails to recognize the Son. He honors instead those who attack God’s Plan.

Petraeus seeks to seize the temporary, which he cannot hold, and rejects the eternal provided to him without any cost to him.

Even though this is heinous, God also foresaw each and every one of these sins and they have already been judged on the Cross, after they had been imputed upon Christ, who bore the judgment of God the Father of these heinous sins.

Nevertheless, each human after Adam, who has been born condemned, still lives prior to the first death, also manifests God has a Plan in which they also may perform something good, but only through faith in Him.

Accordingly, Petraeus is no worse than the most heinous criminal sitting on death row awaiting a capital punishment, nor no worse than Adolph Hitler in slaughtering millions in a Holocaust, but Petraeus is simply no better millions of people who daily reject everything a loving God has offered them, in preference to advocating their own godless immoral perverted protocols to find their personal happiness completely independent of God.

2. Petraeus further fails to honorably represent the office upon which he has been placed, by dishonoring those who seek to use the exact same freedoms of religion and speech, interpreted by agnostics, atheists and pagans who have misrepresented the legal foundations of those freedoms, and instead appeals to Americans to reject their Constitutionally established rights, in favor of appeasing those whom he has been tasked to oppose.

The Mosque being built at the WTC Ground Zero site symbolizes a victory of Islam over anything other than Islam. It completes the 9-11 assault. It is being granted, based ONLY upon the preference of the OBAMA Administration to qualify it must be allowed based upon our freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

That very same freedom of religion and freedom of speech is being used by those who worship God by God’s protocols, and express their revulsion of those who reject God’s Word by burning the blasphemous writings of the adversarial Koran.

Even those who live by national governance, and not prior by God’s Law, must allow the freedom of those who seek to worship God by His Law and by respecting both the laws of God and of Man in the State. Yet, these are the targets of Petraeus, instead of those within his theater of concern.

3) I suspect if Petraeus had a junior officer who had recommended such actions in opposition to his policies, he would label him a coward. Of course, this assumes Petraeus possesses the virtue of an O-1 in fellowship with God, without any seasoned military experience, and void of ethical cognizance.

If the Commander-in-Chief had any intestinal fortitude, he would immediately relieve Petraeus for conduct unbecoming and officer and not tolerate any officer in his ranks who condoned such a position.

Instead, I suspect our present CIC would more willingly enter into homosexual lust than ever return to God on God’s terms.

History will document how woefully ill equiped and arrogant the present US leadership has allowed itself to become, primarily because they have rejected God and what He has provided.

You are looking at the leading edge of something called “Fomenting Offical Displays of Anti-Patriotism.”

This is the Right getting in on the whole political theater gig.

The most recent example I have seen is people showing up to Cinco de Mayo celebrations wearing an American flag tee-shirts to get a rise out of High/Middle School Principles and Administrators desperate to prevent fights between Aztlan influenced Latino students and American flag wavers.

South Western American Public Administrators and principles interested in long careers are going to have to start scheduling teacher in-service day student holdays to avoid this sort of thing.

The Obama Administration sending FBI Agents to try and intimidate this Florida Pastor — and the Leftist media usual suspects dissing America for the sake of “not offending violent Muslims” — is going to make sure that Sept 11th 2011 and 2012 will be filled with lots of public Koran burning.

That is the scariest part of this whole thing.
