Sarah Palin's 2012 Opportunity
US News and World Report's Washington Whispers ^ | September 28, 2010 | Paul Bedard and Caitlin Huey-Burns

Posted on 09/28/2010 8:55:19 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The odds-on favorite to win the GOP presidential nod in 2012 is none other than Sarah Palin, according to a statistical formula developed by Villanova University Prof. Lara Brown. The professor's figuring is bad news for presumed hopefuls like Rep. Mike Pence, Sen. Jim DeMint, ex-Gov. Mitt Romney, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, Gov. Haley Barbour, and former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton. Many simply joined the game too late, says Brown, author of the new book Jockeying for the American Presidency: The Political Opportunism of Aspirants, which studies every election since the founding. Others, like DeMint, are still brewing but won't be ready until 2016. As for Newt? "I don't think the GOP can forgive him," she says.

The book devises an "opportunism variable" based on the candidate's résumé to explain who wins the presidency and why. Palin has an advantage because she has been elected both mayor and governor. She also was a major party vice presidential nominee, giving her an enviable breadth of political experience. According to Brown, candidates who take risks and run for a variety of offices do well. It's even better if they lose a presidential race or two. "It takes about a run and a half to get there," Brown says. Pols "may think they can get it done in six months or a year, but [winning] will actually take them running, losing, and planting seeds," she says.

I believe that her overwhelming lack of experience will doom her in the primaries.

That’s odd, everyone else in the nation, including Obama and the Democrat party, conservative talk show hosts, the media, political columnists, GOP voters, conservatives, sees his primary opponent as Governor Palin. (Darrell Issa?)

That is what makes Palin the most powerful politician in America (outside of the President), and the most effective endorser in our history.

Sooooo....once again the “HOMO SLUR” on people who disagree about Palin.

That wasn't posted to you was it? Check the posting history of who it was addressed to and you will see a long history of support for the homosexual agenda, do you think that might influence some one's view of a social conservative, Christian, female political leader?

I just noticed that you called for a full tribal assault by pinging a huge number of people, don’t you ever just speak for yourself, and think and act independently, as an individual?

She is a genius. Her critics can just not accept that.

Exhibit #15, your honor, demonstrating that these people, who call themselves conservatives, are in fact, a cult.

No reasonable person can deny that Palin is a political genius of historical proportions.

Palin’s effect on American politics, and her ability to do it purely on her own, will be studied and written about for years to come.

Right now, conservatives are ecstatic about her influence on American politics, rinos can’t stand her, but they have sure learned to fear her.

Palin was already a rising conservative star before the GOP Presidential candidate chose her as his veep, it is WHY she was chosen.

No reasonable person koolaid drinker can deny that Palin is a political genius of historical proportions.

Palin’s The Tea Party's effect on American politics, and her its ability to do it purely on her its own, will be studied and written about for years to come, but cultists will credit Palin instead.

Right now, open borders conservatives are ecstatic about her influence on American politics, rinos can’t stand her (except the ones she endorsed), but they have sure learned to fear her.

Fixed it for you.

Show me a “XXX for President thread” and I will show you a hijacked thread.

Evidently not, but why would political ignorance lend itself to accurately detecting political BS.

There are people though that while not really interested in politics or elections, are animated with a wild, obsession to vocalize constant “political” anger and cynicism while clinging to a fantasy view of “me against all of them”, “I am the eternal (and pure) outsider”, mentality.

Yep. Then there are koolaid drinking sheep that see something new and shiny and think it’s the reincarnation of George Washington.

See, as evidenced right there. “There are people though that while not really interested in politics or elections, are animated with a wild, obsession to vocalize constant “political” anger and cynicism while clinging to a fantasy view of “me against all of them”, “I am the eternal (and pure) outsider”, mentality.”
