Just hours after being found guilty at his court-martial, Army Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin said he was ashamed and remorseful over his decision to refuse deployment to Afghanistan earlier this year, but he hedged on questions about President Barack Obama's citizenship.
"I don't want [my career] to end this way," a tearful Lakin said to military jurors during the sentencing phase of his trial Wednesday afternoon. "I want to continue to serve ... It crushed me not to be on deployment. I can be on a plane tomorrow. I'd truly do that."
Lakin, a 17-year Army physician, was sentenced to six months in prison and dismissal from the service on Thursday after being found guilty of disobeying orders and ignoring his deployment orders. In April, Lakin posted an online video declaring he would not return to Afghanistan with his unit until questions regarding Obama's birth certificate were answered to his satisfaction. The move made him an instant hero to the birther movement, which helped him raise money for his legal defense.
Obama was born in Hawaii, but questions about his parents and overseas upbringing were raised during his 2008 presidential campaign. Hawaiian officials that year verified the existence of his birth certificate, addressing those issues for all but a fringe group that insists that the president is not legally qualified to serve in the White House...
The 45-year-old physician appeared somber and exhausted from two days in court, and was battered by his own civilian defense lawyer during his sentencing statement.
"Are you done disobeying orders, Col. Lakin?" attorney Neal Puckett angrily asked his client. "You invited this court-martial. You invited this sentence. And for the rest of your life, you get to live with a federal felony conviction."
Lakin sheepishly nodded along....

In fairness, you should disclose that no one at that hospital can recall Obama's supposed birth there. And, you should disclose that Obama can't remember it, either.
Thus, the documents are needed.
My, my...all of these contradictory stories. Who and what is supposed to be believed?
Well, I'm afraid you're right. The officials handling this case have so badly fouled it up with inconsistencies and doubtful claims that it is unwise to completely trust what anyone says about this anymore. We deserve firm, clear answers. History deserves firm, clear answers.
We need to see the documents.
He needed to go to trial. That way he could at least have preserved his rights to appeal on the basis of the government’s denial of discovery. Somebody got to him with a deal that he could not refuse to take. I know in my bones these bastards threatened him with something that would have impacted his family.

The hospital did not say he was one of their deliveries in their Centennial Magazine as anyone can see from looking at the link I've provided.
Even the image of the letter on page six isn't from the hospital!
I doubt it. He plead guilty to the main charge. Kind of ends any appeal right or right to have reviewed unless he entered the plea under duress and i bet there will be no evidence left by the time the usurper’s usurpation is finally revealed.

Obama had plenty of opportunity to release his documents LONG before it got that far.
A **REAL** American and natural born president would be **HONORED****HONORED****HONORED****HONORED**to promptly prove with the best evidence that he was a natural born citizen and eligible to be Commander in Chief.
Obama’s actions can only be very demoralizing to our nation's military.
When even the liberal/Marxist comedians are laughing at Obama’s eligibility, then he has lost it in the courts of public opinion. And...This is NOT going to be won in any legal court. Obama will lose it in the courts of public opinion. Obama is flushed!

Not even close. It's a simple, direct, statement of fact.
Larkin refused to obey a simple order to report to his superior, among others. Obama's status has nothing whatsoever to do with that. That tap dancing is what birthers do.

Again, Obama's documents, no matter what they say, do not justify Larkin's action.
And as a matter of fact, Obama did release his birth certificate when he was asked, during the campaign. That birthers have paranoid conspiracy theories doesn't impose burdens on everyone else.

That's what we've been telling you for two years.
I wasn’t referring to Lakin making a pleading. Instead I was posing the possibility that a future president who even as today is CinC and et al would revisit the matter and see a miscarriage of justice based on and implicating a fraudulent president at the time. The CinC can certainly overrule his underlings as much as the court martial and jury acted on Lakin. Lakin’s actions and penalties as noted would still be historical facts but possibly redeemed by a true USA president.
