"Decision Points" abridged CD by Random House Audio - WMP pulls fake album cover art
MySpace.com | Spin the World, LLC | Windows Media Player | December 28, 2010 | DJ Flash - Aspiring Music Artist

As a Christmas present I received a copy of Decision Points, abridged CD audio by Random House Audio. When I placed Disc 1 into my laptop disc drive, Windows Media Player attempts to pull the cover art from the internet. Apparently someone is trying to sell some music. Very poor taste nonetheless.

Instead of viewing the book cover, I see this:

A quick Google search leads me to DJ Flash's MySpace page:

And to his "record label" . . .

There are times that somebody other than the author (Jim Robinson, one of the mods) decides that it’s breaking news and it goes there. That happens. It happened once when I posted an official DoD story warning about internet scammers offering terrorist most-wanted card decks (those guys are all dead or doing heavy time now, including the ace of spades, Saddam).

And don’t forget the timeless classic “Can’t Order a Glass of Water Without a Teleprompter”.

Jeff, I got it, and am “using” it (i.e., reading parts that pertain to my research) as opposed to reading it cover to cover. I disagree with his rationale about the bailouts. He appeared to have offered no resistance at all to the wiseguys who told him the economy would collapse. But his reasoning on Iraq was solid and when you read his book in tandem with Rove’s you get a really good sense of why we went into Iraq.

I agree whole heartidly with going into Iraq...and we did not need a rational about the WMDs to do so. We did what was right against a tyrant who openly supported terrorists and who flagrantly violated the terms of the peace accord he signed with us to end the Gulf War.

In addition, by going into Iraq and Afghanistan, we encircled the largest supporter of terror, Iran. all of this was spot on.

I just wish we had prosecuted the war more harshly against the Jihadists and those who support them. They need to have their will broken...totally...by unrestricted war like we broke the Nazis and Imperialists IMHO.

Having siad that, Bush waged the war aggressively and direclty and will be remembered well in history for so doing...for taking the fight to the enemy and plainly calling them the same. His statement, "you are either with us, or you are with the terrorists," was the kind of clear, direct talk and challenge we needed...and still do.

The bail outs were and are a travesty. Particulalry when the very people at th eroot of the problem, the socialist democrats, were the ones calling for it the loudest and who have used it not to help the nation, but to furthrer their own miserable agendas and political careers. Nothing more or less.

Have a GREAT New Year, my friend...I look forward to reading any of your new work.

I have started a sequal, aftr a LOT of reqeusts to do so, of The Dragon's Fury Series. It is set 150+ years in the future from the end of the Dragon's Fury Series and will be, "The United States of Earth and the Battle for Known Space."

I have “dozens” of files DLd via the internet and they all come with the original art of the album cover.

Why dont you try using VLC as your player instead? or even Media Player Classic or MPC. WMP will never access any 3rd party source as the cover unless it’s part of the packaging/file.

Try exchanging it. COSTCO btw is a Dem company which gave $$ to the Obama campaign.

Jeff, I'll look forward to many DF series, and am still amazed by the incredible sales you've had of a self-published book.

You HAVE to read Rove's book in tandem with Bush's. Rove spends about two pages lamenting the fact that they did not defend the decision to go to war and fight the WMD charges from 2004-2006 as the worst mistake of his tenure.

I can’t see getting my panties all in a wad over this. After all, if someone pulled the same trick with one of President B.O.’s two (can’t wait for the next one) autobiographies we would all find it hilarious and send it viral. Sure it is insulting, but at least it’s clever in execution.

I don't find it funny at all, because the OP paid for it. If it were something he downloaded for free from the internet, or getting a free stuff for marketing, I wouldn't mind, and might find it funny too...

I finished it about a month ago and am truly amazed that the left hasn't made so much as a peep. One would think that they would have all sorts of rebuttals to the claims made in the book since all we heard from them for 8 years is "Bush Lied".

The facts that President Bush reveals in his book are indisputable and it was the treasonous left that lied doing unrepairable harm to our country!
