Democrats and Media are not Sarah Palin’s Biggest Problem
self | jimjohn

Posted on 01/16/2011 7:10:26 AM PST by jimjohn

Okay, the dust has settled and even rank-and-file democrats know that Sarah Palin and others on the right had nothing to do with the massacre in Tucson on January 8, 2011. Yet we know the attacks on Palin won’t stop. We get that. Thank you media, for detailing for us how irrelevant she is by taking the only meaningful statement on the matter - a 7+ minute video and text message - and reducing it to a record breaking two-word sound bite. Priceless. But some of us also know there only one reason the media and the left can continue this fruitless line of attack – which exposes Palin biggest problem.

Well said. Well reasoned. Excellent analysis. Any potential candidate should recognize that they would strengthen their hand by coming to the aid of Gov. Palin. The one thing that people admire about her is that she speaks up and defends the rest of us against liberal attacks. It’s odd that the rest of the field don’t find us worthy of protection. And Gov. Palin speaks, no matter what the supposed political consequence to herself. Yet, that’s what the rest of the republicans are always calculating before they do or say anything and that is what makes them less than worthy candidates.

I bet Sarah more pissed/disappointed at her endorsements who didn’t have her back. I really disappointed in them. Gov. Haley should have at least released a statement backing Sarah. Gov. Palin made Gov. Haley of SC. The same can be said for Gov. Martinez of NM. Now they may have called Gov. Palin in private but a public statement was what was needed.

Democrats created almost all government agencies, laws against private businesses, pro-union laws.

There is not a single democrat politician that is for anything good like abolishing a government agency or deporting illegals.

The democrat party and their mainstream media is the center of lies and evil in the world. That is the reason government has grown and for all our problems, the mainstream media mainly.

The democrat party appreciates all you do for socialism by your shifting the blame away from democrats/socialism.

Wow.

So to you Lindsey Graham and Ronald Reagan are the same, because they are both Republicans?

Dude, you are a simpleton. Sorry, but your level of “party’ loyalty is obscene.

We are not talking about the Republican ideals of limited government, personal freedom, and low taxes. Of course we are all for that - those are our conservative principles, but what you fail to recognize is the party has been taken over by elitists who look down their noses at us and those values we hold dear. (the Bushies, McCain, Graham, Romney, et al.)

If you can’t see that, it says a lot about you.

It’s time for you to remember the rule of holes....if you find yourself in one...STOP digging!

Who the hell said that? Who cares about a few self serving lunatics who call themselves Republicans?

This is what I’m saying.

I heard someone on the radio the other day state she may be the next Opray Winfrey - I think it would be awesome if she did become a famous TV personality. I agree with her politics, I enjoy her, but I honestly don’t feel it would be beneficial to America to have her as the next President. For right or wrong, she is very divisive and we need someone who will be a strong leader without driving away those who are actually looking for someone other than Obummer as 2012 draws closer. We need to let the candidates get out together on the circuit and prove who they are (whether that can happen is suspect due to the media’s willful intent to choose whom THEY want to run). I personally would love to see Paul Ryan run as I feel he has those qualities that would best help us conservatives AND he is strong on budgetary responsibility. Whoever wins the nomination ought to put Sarah front and center as their press person (it would drive the libs NUTS!) I do not doubt that her role is important to conservatives, but honestly do not feel it will be in the Presidential ring myself.

What did the Rinos do the 6 years they were in control? Again! This is a CONSERVATIVE site. You are cheering Republicans to the WRONG people.

Name a current power Republican that spoke out against the smearing of Palin and average Americans known as the Tea Party. Who came forward? NO ONE. If you expect Republicans to save you, you will be sadly disappointed.

she is very divisive

No. The press has made her a dividing point and NO Republicans have the cahones to speak up. Republicans will NOT fight back. They do NOT defend their own which is the whole point of this vanity. They didn't even defend average Americans known as the Tea Party.

Typical. You can't honestly defend what the Rinos did for 6 years in power so I'm the bad guy for pointing it out. They had power for 6 YEARS! Is our border safe? NO. What did they do in 6 years? Stop Fannie and Freddie? NO! Get your head around the fact that most Republicans are NOT Conservative.

I respectfully and completely disagree.

She is a conservative, espousing values I and most American's hold in their heart.

As a result of her principled stance, she is relentlessly attacked and villified on all sides.

Backing elitist leaders in both parties has lead this Country to the brink of abandoning our Constitution.

If my candidate is not causing derranged behavior in the elitist ranks, there is something wrong with them.

Here is the central problem with your analysis: there are Republicans, and there are conservatives. There are Democrats and there are liberals. The latter two groups intersect at virtually all points; the former do not.

Many Republicans in Washington, D.C. are not conservatives. They have no true desire to fight socialism, government health care or any other Federal mandate, but merely wish to pursue the same ends by a slower path. Ideas matter, and few on the GOP side are willing to defend theirs.

Can you name one prominent Republican in D.C. who came to Sarah Palin's defense immediately and without reservation? I myself cannot. Why the reticence and the silence? Because she is not one of them. Even after the recent election, plain-spoken, pro-God, pro-gun, anti-elitist Tea Partiers are still considered persona non grata by members of both major parties, who view themselves as uniquely qualified to "solve" America's problems - problems that they in most cases helped create.

And Republican leaders wonder why they are $20 million in the hole, and unable to convince people to donate to them, instead of the individual candidates most of us have opted to support instead. If the GOP is to become a truly relevant party once more, it must abandon its leaders' tendency to imagine that settling for half of what liberal Democrats desire is some sort of "victory". It is not; it is slow-motion defeat.

In the meanwhile, when I hear a prominent Republican loudly proclaim that what the Democrats and the news media (insofar as they are distinguishable) are doing daily to Ms. Palin amounts to character assassination and libel, I'll know we're getting somewhere.

WOW! I’ll say! I hurried home from Church to watch Fox News Sunday, only to get maaaaad. Governor Palin’s video was the subject addressed by the panel. After watching it, it dawned on Brit Hume that only a presidential candidate would bother to make such a professional recording. Ya think?

You who constantly Bash Republicans using liberal media talking points don't even have a clue to what the democrats are doing. Take just 2 examples :

1. The EPA trying to shut down the economy by clamping down on global warming hoax gasses like CO2. 99% of people don't know the EPA is doing this. YET Republicans in the House have in already introduced 3 bills to stop the EPA from doing this economy destroying. Do any of you know this? Does the public ? NO. If Republicans were for big government why would they do this as no one hardly knows about this nor is calling for it?

2.Ditto with the democrats’ FCC censoring the Internet as Republicans have introduced bills to stop the FCC.
