On Friday February 11, the day Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak stepped down, CBS correspondent Lara Logan was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for a 60 MINUTES story when she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration. It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy.
In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently in the hospital recovering.
There will be no further comment from CBS News and Correspondent Logan and her family respectfully request privacy at this time.

Knew something was going on when she was not on air from here in US after returning to CONUS.
This rumor has been working for a few days, and was all but confirmed by the lack of comment or denials from anyone at Black Rock or West 57th.
Some may say Logan has a checkered past, but nothing deserves this!
When 3 CBS engineers were killed by a perp years ago, Rather went into a (well deserved) on-air outrage. This time, there will probably be nothing, because, Lord knows, we don’t want to upset the “Arab Street.” Source with many years in SWA says many Muslims will approve of this, because, it was an infidel getting what she deserved.
When will the rest of America wake up?

Yeah, the libs are dumb for this lie, Cultures are different, if they were the same we would only have one culture.
I won’t begrudge anyone for the DNA they house or the colour of thier skin. I tend to judge someone on their character and their character is STRONGLY influenced by the culture they grew up in. So if you are only judging someone based off their character, you HAVE to take in account their CULTURE.

Ummm, I think her story was corroborated by several others, and is probably on film.
Just because she has a “past” to you does not mean this is not true. She deserves sympathy here, not judgement.

But back to the article, anyone viewing the coverage of the protests will see that there were very, very few women in attendance and those that were were sporadically scattered throughout the masses of men. There is now way in hell that "a group of women" would have been on site to save her from her alleged attack.........
This story is complete bullship and Lara Logan is looking for either a promotion or a pulitzer...........

Also I’d just like to add that based on what I’ve seen since 9/11, Islamists cannot live within a democracy but must be ruled with an iron fist because quite frankly, they are vile, sub-human creatures.
Her background is irrelevant and is no reason to imply that she is responsible for it or that it didn't happen..
We should be pissed off that any woman is treated this way!
