Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Mitt Romney as a Republican presidential candidate?
Bug Zapper ^ | May 19, 2011 | Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy Massachusetts liberal can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

For example . . .

I’m glad Trump has harrassed othuga.

However, Trump is as much of a socialist/liberal/communist/globalist

in some key respects . . . as Rockefeller, imho.

I certainly don’t trust him.

I liked a lot of the things that Trump had to say, but I could never trust him knowing that he’d donated to so many demonkatz.

It appears as though the liberal “media” has chosen the GOP’s candidate again and it’s Mitt. Looks like I’ll be writing in Palin/Cain. I’m tired of hearing so called “republicans” saying this candidate or that candidate is “too conservative.” We’ve got a fascist Marxist sitting in the Oval Office who is so extreme that he slid off the scale!

Romney needs to be shut down now. He is flying under the radar while dopes like Trump and Gingrich put on their circus acts. Next week Johnson will be in the headlines for some ridiculous reason and Myth will be quietly fundraising and just trying to outlast everyone else with that cash. The word needs to get out about his Progressive BS.

If this hack gets the nomination, I hope I have the intestinal fortitude to stay out of the voting both considering I will be staring down the barrel of 4 more years of Obummer.

I’ll be really brazen. What is holding the vast majority of Americans from taking physical action? Protestantism. And I consider myself a Protestant, although a poor one at that. Protestants have to have someone tell them it’s ok to take the necessary physical kill or be killed action, otherwise they’re not really Christians.
That’s one thing I have to give to Catholics. They have a leader who can say enough is enough. Protestants don’t, unless you consider the secular government the leader of the Protestants, which it really is, or was.
Christians in general have made self-defense into a Gordian Knot that they can’t unravel let alone cut.
We need to love each other like Jesus, after all he ate and drank w sinners. So he did. But he also made it clear that he had enemies and would deal w them and did deal w them in the terms of his limited engagement. When he comes back he won’t be so nice. Has his nature changed? No, only his task. Protestants have become one side of a coin, which is blind to their God given ability to defend themselves. They’ve become unable to defend themselves and I don’t think that’s biblical. We’re being pushed into a holocaust corner and most Protestants are going to end up the same way as WWII Jews. We used to be fighters, as most Catholics know, but we’ve been dumbed down by those who don’t know history very well, but are really sure of their opinion of the Bible. s/ Flame away.

Jim, we had 8 long years of socialism in the name of expediency, as we let the George Bush administration and congress spend like no tomorrow, as well as far reaches beyond constitutional authority including the No Union Teacher Left Behind Act.

That there's jerks who want to play the same game all over again with Romney hardly shocks or surprises me. If Rudy McRomney or any of their clones win the nomination, I will not vote for a Republican, period. I don't care anymore if Obama wins another 4 years - nor will I care about the possibility of another Souter being put on the court.

I'm drawing the line in the sand and not stepping over it this time. If that gets me Zotted for not towing the party line, so be it. I'm a conservative first, and if the Republican nominee isn't a conservative, I'm not biting this time.

No Jim. Honestly, we may need every single itemization in the Bill Of Rights to get through this one. I have never seen so much evil. I have read about it. Things are going to be ugly. I'll stand in there.

Please consider a separate legal fund to take the fight to the enemy. I will be there. Free Republic is one of the best places for a conservative education. Can Free Republic become also a place to take the legal fight to them?

What kind of dope gives a multi, multi-hundred millionaire “business tycoon” money? Let him self-finance his campaign if he believes in it so much. He did so last time, didn’t he? That’d be like donating to Bloomberg for mayor or Perot for president. Stupid.

There’s going to be a third party, brewed from Tea. Until then we keep our principles.

I won’t vote for Romney or any pro-abort EVER, even if they are GOP.

Pray for Sarah! Pray for Israel!
