'I can win a national election': Palin insists she could be prez, won't reveal if she's going to run
The London Daily Mail ^ | July 10, 2011 | Fiona Roberts

Sarah Palin has long refused to reveal whether or not she will run for president in next year's election. But today the former Alaska governor has revealed if she doesn't, it certainly won't be from a lack of confidence.

In an interview, the Tea Party favourite said she believes she can win a presidential election - but still refused to be drawn on whether she will launch White House campaign.

Appearing on the front cover of Newsweek for the fifth time in three years, she said: 'I believe that I can win a national election.

'I'm not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around. But I do believe I can win.'

It's the latest hint she may still run. The comments follow a campaign-style bus tour and, most recently, the premiere of a documentary about her life, The Undefeated, in the key election state of Iowa. Despite not having declared her candidacy, she has 16 per cent of Republican support according to the latest Gallup poll, and is second only to Mitt Romney, on 24 per cent.....

You know you called anyone who says anything against YOUR candidate (at this point it doesn’t matter who — the issue is it is YOUR candidate) is a RINO.

That is what I said, Captain Obvious.

Sure got your panties in a wad, didn't it?

So Rick "CFR-Boy" Perry is your favorite RINO, isn't he?

The progressive media had lauded Palin with many positive articles prior to her being selected as the VP candidate. With Palin living in the sticks, That's the progressive label delineating Alaska, she was no threat to the progressives in power. When they realized that she could drive to an airport and fly to the lower forty eight in just a few hours, they panicked. Then they find that she is married to a minority, made babies with him and one of the babies is a special needs child. At that point it was......OH!..MY!....GOD!....she must be destroyed. The progressives haven't slowed down since.

Hey, I am blown away by your eventual honesty.

>>Sure got your panties in a wad, didn’t it?<<

Yeah — people who summarily assume anyone who doesn’t agree with them is a RINO bother me immensely. I assure you there are many candidates (you are so insipid you can’t even read my tag as an example) who are not RINOs just because you, in your pea brain declare them so.

But I am glad you let me finish this. And I am glad you exposed yourself.

There is nothing I can say more to indict you more than you have indicted yourself as a caricature of a Conservative, enwrapped in your cult of personality.

You are of negative help to Gov. Palin.

Did you vote in the last Presidential election?

yes YMMV.

Maybe that strategy is wrong and she loses the primary to Cain. Sure, i will vote for him too. No matter.

Either one would be great. He has some negatives, she has some — I am not being pedantic when I note the “middle” (whomever in the heck they are, but I think my sister is one: “well, it is about how I feel” “what about ABC?” “Well, I haven’t thought about that...”) is the one we need to bring on board. Mr. Cain isn’t moving in that direction and Gov. Palin seems to wish to punish that middle for their meddlesome ways.

We need some serious coming together — maybe a “pre-GOP” convention this year? It can’t be a Tea Party — that has been carved out as a certain subset of the GOP: we need to make it the voice of the GOP.

On my, what will the LSM do, speak ill of her 24/7? Uh, oh, never mind. would just be the same old same old.

Perhaps those of your Palin ankle biting ilk. But then it appears to me, most anything and everything about Palin bothers you.

I have neither said anything bad about Gov. Palin herself, nor called you any names.

Why do you Gov. Palin supporters have such a short fuse? Is challenging Gov. Palin’s approach and suggesting it may not be as clever as you think so daunting? You can’t argue the issue but rather just immediately dissemble to naked ad hominem? Methinks the lady’s supporters doth protest too much.

Other than noting I have a stalker and pointing him/her/it/whatever out, I defy you to find where I have been less than coolly analytical and eminently reasonable in my posts on this subject matter.

I suggest Gov. Palin may be making a mistake — at worst that means my analysis differs from yours.

I have one person who out and out admits that anyone other than his/her/its candidate (it just so happens to be Gov. Palin in this case) is a RINO. Is that the consensus? Or a plurality? Or just a “lone maverick?”

Do you also say that any candidate who is not your personal candidate pick is a RINO?

No, I did not. Now, I live in OK, so it doesn’t matter, but I had no intention of voting for either candidate, because I didn’t see any difference between the two. Tweedledumb and Tweedledumber.

I did vote that year. I just didn’t vote for a presidential candidate.

No way. And nor do I not stalk every thread about them to spew negativity ad nauseam as to their personal motives or course of action.

Can you say the same as to your constant stalking of Palin threads where you always put in an appearance posting the same crappola?

Methinks thou project too much?

>>No way. And nor do I not stalk every thread about them to spew negativity ad nauseam as to their personal motives or course of action.<<

Ah — if I were to produce, say 4 Gov. Palin threads in the last few days I did not post to, would that be sufficient to obviate your charge of “stalk(ing) every thread to spew...”? Perhaps you use the word “every” a bit rashly?

I post to threads about Gov. Palin where I think it is important that Conservatives consider issues beyond the cult of personality cultivated behind her.

>>Can you say the same as to your constant stalking of Palin threads where you always put in an appearance posting the same crappola?<<

You have yet to even meet my lowest level challenge — that I have said anything unkind about about Gov. Palin herself. Post it up if you got it (hint: it doesn’t exist unless you quotemine which would be a bad strategery).

But it is good you throw your fellow supporter under the bus — his/her/it position is untenable and not in keeping with even the most modest Conservative principles.
Hint #2: Criticism isn’t “spewing negativity” — it is just that: criticism.

>>Methinks thou project too much?<<

Projects how? My use of the quote makes sense — yours, not so much.

I just suggest people stand back and look from the long view. You get a news article that says “I can win.” You (not a Gov. Palin supporter) asks “then why are you not running?”

You're either uninformed or dishonest. If Palin is running, there are legal reasons she cannot announce it, yet.

By the way, look at the massive exposure the eneMedia gave Duncan Hunter during the 2008 election (/sarc). Sarah Palin has them jumping through their own butt-holes in lame attempts to damage her image.

By the way, who is giving her exposure? Name one other individual that has had been vetted as much as she has. If we were to sift through your work email account, would you come out as clean as Palin? Palin isn't gaming the media; they're gaming theirselves!

>>You’re either uninformed or dishonest. If Palin is running<<

Thanks for making my point. I am neither uninformed nor dishonest. I am informed and been 100% honest. Your DISAGREEMENT with my analyses makes me neither, but it does (as with so many of your ilk) put you in the camp of “I don’t have a rebuttal argument but ad hominem always works against people who disagree with me.”

>>there are legal reasons she cannot announce it, yet.<<

And those are? (please provide links, so I may migrate from the uninformed to the informed like you).

>>By the way, look at the massive exposure the eneMedia gave Duncan Hunter during the 2008 election (/sarc). Sarah Palin has them jumping through their own butt-holes in lame attempts to damage her image.<<

Hey, if you think this is a brilliant manipulation of the MSM/LSM and the American Public, more power to you. Make that your argument and defend it accordingly.

So far, all you have submitted is “I like ‘Sarah’ (your term) and anyone who says otherwise is... (see earlier list)”

>>By the way, who is giving her exposure? Name one other individual that has had been vetted as much as she has. If we were to sift through your work email account, would you come out as clean as Palin? Palin isn’t gaming the media; they’re gaming theirselves!<<

I made that point on a different thread. Microscopic examination isn’t “vetting” - it is just irritating to all. This is a repeat of your prior point that Gov. Palin is working the MSM/LSM. But what is the real result of that gamesmanship? How does it garner votes? Does it irritate more than attract? Those are valid questions, none directed at you nor Gov. Palin.

I bemusedly prepare for your “how DARE you” response... (unless you surprise me...)

Easy there little fellow. If you are informed, you would realize there are legal reasons Palin cannot announce her candidacy. Clearly, you either knew about the legal issue or you did not. You either are uninformed because you didn't or you're dishonest because you did. So, you are either uninformed or dishonest. If I say you are one, I'm the other; but if I say you are neither, I'm both. ;-)

Hey, if you think this is a brilliant manipulation of the MSM/LSM and the American Public, more power to you. Make that your argument and defend it accordingly.

Would you rather see her behave like the feeble, spineless GOP insiders? I want a leader who damn well acts like a leader. A leader fights back when appropriate.

Again, settle down little fella. Nobody is out to get you. Some time ago, I gave you a remedy to treat severe cold system. I'm sorry, I've got nothing to relieve your PMS.

IOW, you have no reference and are pretending to be “in the know” when you are just inventing excuses out of whole cloth, li’l child.

>>Would you rather see her behave like the feeble, spineless GOP insiders? I want a leader who damn well acts like a leader. A leader fights back when appropriate.<<

A “leader” tells her minions to where he/she leads. A cult-head just says “follow me blindly.” I would list famous past examples but you would quotemine me so, I will leave it to you to figure it out, li’l child.

>>Again, would you rather see her behave like the feeble, spineless GOP insiders? I want a leader who damn well acts like a leader.<<

Ever hear of Pyrrhus? A fine leader, li’l child.

>>Again, settle down little fella. Nobody is out to get you. Some time ago, I gave you a remedy to treat severe cold system. I’m sorry, I’ve got nothing to relieve your PMS.<<

And yet, there seems to be no cure for reverse PDS, li’l child.

I wish I could be young and dreamy-eyed again like you li’l child. It was a lot more fun back then, when I didn’t have to face facts like you, li’l child.

But bless you for having your visions of what you wish while ignoring what probably will be.

Your heart is in the right place, li’l child. Your brain — oh well, your heart is in the right place.
