Greta Interview with Palin and Bachman: Disgusting innuendo about Perry
Self | Self

Posted on 09/12/2011 7:40:37 PM PDT by indianrightwinger

I saw the GOP debate and the Greta interview with Palin and Bachman. I am absolutely against Perry's mandate of the Gardasil vaccine. On policy grounds. Period.

But, to see the two ladies pile on with corruption charges against Perry was truly disgusting. If they have any proof that Perry mandated the vaccine to profit Merck, I am the first one who wants it. And, if proof emerges that he did so, I will be the first one to revoke my support for him.

It happens in the industry all the time. Acquaintances get you an audience. So, in this case, the fact that Perry's previous staffer was a lobbyist must have gotten the meeting. A meeting to hear about this wonderous cancer curing drug. Nothing corrupt about it. Is there more to the reason Perry made such a call? Possible/Probable. Evidence of it? None so far.

Come on. Do Palin and Bachman have to resort to gutter politics to get themselves better positioned?

Conservatives favor Capitalism and reject Socialism. Toll Roads are capitalistic and charge user fees. Free highways are socialistic and distribute the costs among people who don't even use those words.

The correct Conservative position is to demand toll roads and reject public roads.

Most of the other vaccines are for airborne or waterborne type communicable diseases.

This vaccine is clearly not that type.

A person gets polio, measles, mumps, diptheria and it can spread causing major outbreaks.

We ALL agree the Gardasil thing was a terrible mistake. It did not pass. It was one of TWO terrible mistakes, the other being the TTCorridor. It did not pass either. TWO over the course of TEN years, still, ain’t that bad. Sarah should not climb on against the contenders until she is one in 2038. Purity will not win against entrenched Marxism, so for her to perch at loft and snipe is disgusting, and does NOTHING to enhance her fallen reputation as too soft to take fire herself. She got burned, unfairly, and ran. She got burned as governor, unfairly, and ran again. It’s over.

Alllll huff and puff and the house still stands.... Tax/mandate Perry can keep his Texas politics in Texas.

Perry is indeed in the big leagues. Palin and Bachmann aren't. The whole Gardasil flap is distinctly bush league. Anyone who believes this will hurt Perry is destined for disappointment. It won't. Almost nobody cares. The few who do will end up voting for Perry anyway because the realistic alternatives are much more seriously flawed. Bachmann is a twit, Romney largely shares Obama’s world view and Palin isn't running. Harping on Gardasil is a desperation move for failing candidates and non-candidates who are starting to realize that a window of opportunity has closed. Like most desperation moves, it won't work.

So, a few days ago Sarah exhorts the candidates to keep the focus on Obama.

Today, with scant evidence, she calls the GOP frontrunner a crook.

I no longer know what to think. Maybe she is actually running. Maybe she is afraid he is getting more popular with Republicans than her. Who knows?

Sadly, I am beginning to believe that we are going to find a way to send the worst President in history back for a second term because we apparently hate each other even more than we oppose him.

IMHO, thanks Sarah. Last thing conservatives want is the government shoving more needles in kids.

When I was a kid we had several vaccines; nowadays it’s big business to the rescue - big bucks - and shoving dozens of vaccines in kids. No how, no way, no thanks.

YAPS - Yet Another Pharma Scam.

I have trouble mandating any vaccine. At least there was an opt out for Guardisil and I don't think this issue is worth all this time.

The economy is far more important.

” ... if proof emerges that he did so, I will be the first one to revoke my support for him.”

I don’t know why, but something tells me that Rick could appear at Radio City Music Hall this Saturday night in full drag leading everyone on stage singing, “We Are Family” and you would still be carrying water for him. Just sayin’...
(”He’s ... trying to be ... inclusive. Yeah, that’s the ticket. The Big Tent, OK?”)

Well, Palin gave vocal support to Perry the other day in regards to the flubbub over Social Security. Tonight he gets a thumbs-down on this. And not a surprise, since as governor, Palin was quite a stickler for transparency and anti-corruption. The big E-mail dump gave a lot of impressive insight on this. I doubt the whole seedy Merck/Gardisil situation sits well with Palin. Doesn’t sit well with me, either.

“There is another way of preventing HPV spread: CHASTITY.”

Even the daughter of one of the most conservative parents had premarital sex. You do NOT want to go there with that kind of argument because it will be very very unpleasant for all of us. That is all that needs to be said on this.

We already paid for the roads through out gas tax. Why should we then be forced to pay to use them? If the toll road vendor is a private contractor who is going to use his own money to build a new road and then charge for that product, I am all for it. That was not the case here. They wanted to make HWY 281 a toll road after we the taxpayers had already purchased the product. That is theft and thuggery - pure and simple...

That’s essentially what Perry said: that he pulled in big money and was offended by her suggestion that he’d sell out for such a small amount.

“She got burned as governor, unfairly, and ran again. It’s over.”

Aparently 87% of FR and a significant number of the Gen Pub disagree with you. But the MSM and Dems agree with you. So you have that going for your little meme.

It’s called vetting and we are not to give Perry a pass like the Lame stream media did with Obama.

Perry is nothing more than a crony capitalist and we don’t need any more in the White House.

fluffdaddy "Gardasil is a desperation move for failing candidates and non-candidates who are starting to realize that a window of opportunity has closed. "

Actually, the Gardasil story in Texas (PerryCARE)
is an indicator in the MIND of the RINO Rick Perry.

“The chaste children of Texas were Lab Rats, bunko”.....

The mandate with opt out online was enacted in 2007 to go into effect the fall of 2008.

The Texas Legislature overturned it a few months after Perry put the mandate in.

So, it never went into effect.

All of this broo ha is over something that never went into effect. Bachman’s acting job was so fake - “those poor girls” - the vaccine never went into effect and she knows it.

If Merck paid $5K to Perry’s campaign hoping to get their vaccine on the mandate (with opt out) list - they got screwed.

Also, the reports regarding Gardasil that were negative came out after Perry made the exec order - not before.

Well, the question was asked by Tea party people, and it is a fair question.

All other vaccine mandates are to protect the other children at the school: the diseases covered can readily be spread in a school environment.

That is not the case at all with Gardisil.

“Gardisal is hardly Rick Perry’s biggest problem. His record on illegal immigration is one.”

yup especially tuition for illegals. I predicted it would be crazy when RINO Romney turns out to be the good guy on this issue.
