If she does she will have millions pouring in from around the world. Don’t think it will happen, but who knows?

I can’t imagine her wanting to be a VP candidate again after what happened last time.

I'll take Cain, Santorum or Bachmann in a heartbeat. Any of em would be just as good as Palin.

But if push came to shove in the general election I'd vote for Perry or even Romney. As lousy as they are, they'd be infinitely better than BO.

Whats the alternative?

4 more years.... the country's dead. I'm not even 40 and the USA is dead.

Really? The sackcloth and ashes are on aisle 2. Geez, get a grip.

She owes those of us who bought her books and supported her financially a explaination and an apology.

I bought her books, sent her money, and feel let down too. However, this was the right decision. Going forward, she rallies the troops, helps select the next President, and perhaps gets a position in the next Administration such as Energy Secretary where she can make a positive contribution and re-introduce herself to the average American. She is a young woman still. All in good time.

I don’t really want to say “I told you so”, but I told you she wasn’t running.

Me too. It's been obvious for months, hasn't it? I do want to say "I told you so", though, because of the verbal abuse, reporting to JimRob, etc. etc. that myself and others received from fellow FReepers for daring to point out Palin's flaws as a candidate, and why she wouldn't run.

Honestly, I have to wonder if she was waiting for that sleaze’s book to come out. I think that alone made her decision. She realized it would only get worse and didn’t want to put her family through that stuff - true or made up - doesn’t matter. She has seen first hand how SNL and the MSM were so relentless. Sure, maybe she was strong enough to take it - but her kids to have to live through that ugliness may have been a bit too much. I wish the best for her and her family. They didn’t deserve all that rot.

Focus on the principles instead.

Cain is as close as I can come to supporting someone on principles. Santorum and Bachman, perhaps, but they seem to have no chance. Other than that, it is simply a bunch of RINOs jockeying for position.

What the hell is wrong with her ? Does anyone have an answer ?

If this is how she is, I wouldnt hire her to run an ice cream shop. She is a person with little purpose nationally now and I can believe she just folded like a coward.

Ambivalent about this because I really, really like Sarah Palin. But I also think that America has had way more than enough of Presidents with limited life, executive and business experience. Her time will come I hope but now is not her time.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then based on this.... Cain is definitely OUT. But (hopefully) that means Bammie is out too.
She’s a private citizen. She doesn’t owe “us” anything.
Mitt won’t win. And the good news is that Elmer Fudd can beat Obama, and so let’s make sure that we nominate a conservative Fudd. Go Herman!
I love your attitude, LS...always have :)
Herman Cain's missteps can mostly be attributed to the fact that he's NOT a career politician. I pray that he's not a "plant" for Myth...I don't think he is. With top tier funding he can surround himself with excellent advisors...that's what great leaders do.
Pray for Sarah. Pray for America.
I thought she loved America ?
i feel sick to my stomach. She owes those of us who bought her books and supported her financially a explaination and an apology.
Having this sort of fan base is one of the things that became an obstacle to her running.
Sorry.
Why did she have us wait?
She was probably looking at how she would be received by the voting public. I'm guessing she didn't want to throw her hat in the ring, and have it become evident that she just doesn't have a wide enough level of support to get the nomination.
She's got a deep base of people who are passionately supportive of her. Then again, so does Ron Paul. Her support needs to be wide as well as deep.
With her definitely out, the hard-core conservatives are likely to coalesce around Cain. Perry's immigration position has damaged him with conservatives.
