I have been a strong Palin supporter from the very beginning. Starting with her selection as John McCain's running mate in 2008 all the way to the current announcement, I have invested time (nearly 3 1/2 years) in her like no other I've ever done. And I feel she is a person of character a was worth it.

Over the recent months different people have moved into my "fall back" category. And it seems (if he can hold up) that Herman Cain is my guy. He's no Sarah Palin mind you but despite a couple of gaffes here and there he seems reasonably solid.

Having said all that, I find it curious that about a week or so (maybe a little more) after his awesome showing in the Fl straw poll and Sarah calling herself his biggest fan, she should make this announcement.

The timing just seem to indicate that she too had finally found "her guy". Someone that is the closest to her she's gonna get w/o running herself. And indeed Cain gives Palin-like speeches, is outside of gov't and speaks his mind off the cuff much like Palin does. They seem to be kindred spirits, so-to-speak.

I have no way of knowing this factually, no inside scoop, nothing but I just have a hunch that these two will start to coordinate at Tea Parties together soon. Chisties out, Romney's the Establishment guy, Perry is weakened, Bachmann has become persona non grata. But wouldn't it be something to see these two (Cain & Palin) out on the stump together? They will try it and see how the primary/general voters react and my gut is the public will love'em.

Folks mark my words---I know it's way early but if Cain can pull off an upset got a feeling it'll be because his supporters and Palin's supporters will combine to put him over the top and then we'll see her on the ticket. My gut tells me this time next year we'll be supporting a Cain-Palin ticket (a much better one w/o the Mc).

Palin supporters would always support Cain anyway.

Politically she would bring nothing to that ticket. Adding Rubio OTOH would make a lot of sense, because frankly as we all remember...We NEED to win FL.

It would be a GREAT ticket if only the RINO wing would allow it. I suspect Cain might be forced to choose Mutt or Prick in order to get the necessary financing, but I could be wrong.

Well at least it could save some money on bumper stickers and campaign signs. We could just cross out the Mc on the old ones. Depending on how many are still left we could save thousands of dollars nationally.

Not gonna happen, count on it. Sarah knows she can do more from the outside rather than be a lightning rod constantly drawing fire from the fawning press looking for revenge for Obama’s (and progressives) crushing defeat. It takes a team to get things done and Sarah is a great player in a different role and she knows it. Look what they did to her even considering a run for office, she would be under the microscope daily and nothing would get done.

I don’t think she will revisit the VP thing.

Sorry, but that would show a huge lack of judgement on Cain’s part.

After her stunt last night, I will NOT vote for her in any capacity.

What about the lawsuit against McGinnis? If she sues won’t that tend to distract her attention from a campaign? (And if she doesn’t sue, what is the reason?)

I like them both, but I don’t think either will be on the ticket at the end of the day.

I missed what happened last night, but she will be besieged by the leftist freaks for the rest of her life.

McCain’s and the left’s job is done, they’ve destroyed the political career of a strong woman who cares about her country.

“I don’t think she will revisit the VP thing.”

In that case, there are Plans B & C:

Cain/Rubio 2012

Cain/Gingrich 2012

I’m worried about a romney/Cain ticket that the slimy pundits are hankering for. I hope Sarah can convince Cain to stay away from mandate man. She does have star power and could attract more donors.

Your gut is wrong. Palin is not running and will never, ever be chosen as a VP running mate again. No nominee is going to want her celebrity and the circus of her personal life overshadowing him or her. Palin had her shot at VP and wouldn’t want play second fiddle again anyway.

You people gotta let the Palin stuff go. It’s done. There is no inside scoop or secret plan. Palin is not a candidate and will not be on the ticket. She will endorse whoever wins the GOP nomination even if that person is Romney.
