Too enormous.
Herman Cain Only Has “Several Hundred Thousand Dollars” In The Bank and yet is beating the pants off the rest of the field.
Go figure.
I HATE the thought that Romney will buy the nomination.
Please, FRiends, join me in sending Cain some money.
bttt
wow really? i wonder how much he'll be beating mitt romney when he starts getting money?
Yeah, and with Obama getting ready to BUY the election with a billion bucks of money that only God knows where it came from....
It seems we are having a lot of shifting of how the political game is played. Those out of the beltway versus the beltway. The latter raises the most money but the people are throwing them off. Could be an interesting change in how this works.
Can somebody explain to me, why it should cost so much to run a campaign? For what? It seems to me in this day and age of the Internet, you can get your message out without having to spend a ton of money.
The Tea Part had less money than that and yet was able to seriously change the poltical landscape of this country.
Herman Cain who truly was until recently a virtual unknown had faith enough in himself to decide to run for President of the United States on his own. There was no Media hype/pressure/build-up about a possible run, there was no urging by members of the Party, no words spoken into his ear by party players, elites, beltway boys or pundits, not even a word of encouragement from the Republican Party of his home state only faith in himself. Now after months of being treated as being a inconsequential candidate the curious sideshow of a conservative black Republican, he is now in the top tier along with people of great party pull, of men with experienced political machines and the dollars to power them. He did that on his own with no help from anyone accept by his own. Now think what a man with faith in himself like that could accomplish if given the chance.
Now many are saying Cain hasnt a chance with his little formal organization and even less money.
Well let me remind all of you of what a recent movement did with no formal organization and even less money, The Tea Party.
The Tea Party manage with both those weakness to go on and seriously change the political landscape and in doing so caused the Leftist members of govenment, ellitist of both political parties and media types to quake in fear of them and their rath and all done with only a minimum of formal organization and on a shoe string budget.
Thats what sucessful AMERICANS do, what they have always done! Its what makes us WINNERS! They start out with what they have and they MAKE IT WORK! They make it work because what they dont have in manpower or money they make-up with brains, sweat, blood and last but most important faith.
How did trying to buy the election work out for Romney the last time around?
Money in the campaign coffers = Guaranteed win....purely a myth. Maybe there was a time, and I do understand the value of $$$ for purchasing airtime, flyers, signs, etc...but in this day and age of the Internet and thousands of media outlets, it isn’t nearly as difficult to get in front of people and get your message out as it used to be.
The debates are key; you learn a lot about how someone can (or cannot) think on their feet; their spontaneity; their personality, etc. They, so far, have helped Cain immensely because he’s the real deal. Unlike some of the others, he isn’t just spouting what he THINKS people want to hear (if you try that, you have to reach for every thought, every word, every nuance...and it shows). No, he clearly speaks from the heart and with real conviction.
That...trumps a fat bank account any day.
Several hundred dollars?? I find that very refreshing. He is moving on his merits not his financing.
Romney and Perry have huge war chests yet are trailing Cain in the polls. A lot of people are withholding contributions until after a candidate is chosen. Romney and Perry have a ton of money because they have huge corporate donors behind them. However, all that money is not translating into success now is it?
Perhaps at this moment, he does. Should be enough to cover gas money for the bus tours. But he has a book out now, speaking engagements and I’m certain he has picked up in fundraising these last few weeks. First candidate that I’ve contributed to.
It isn’t going to be about money this time. And as long as he keeps getting media attraction, they’ll follow him and have more interviews.
A few key endorsements will also help. And if the primaries really do start in December and he does as well as I think he will, he’ll have time to mount more resources going into the convention and the general election.
Thanks for reminding me. I stopped by his site to contribute: https://www.hermancain.com/donate
The "no debt" should be the headline.
Someone commented on the original article that his campaign could ask for a $9.99 contribution. I’d bet he’d get a lot of those.
Probably reflects that he is not obligated to some “high roller, fat-cat” business tycoons, special interest groups or international eurotrash scumbags like Soros.
